Get some lights, some blinds, real doors, and a dog and you'll be fine.

Wait a year to find out what sucks about your house, aka, no insulation, windows are terrible, etc.  It'd be a waste to wire a bunch of crap up and then have to redo it when you gut that side of the house to redo it.

I've seen on different news stations around Texas people breaking in to newer homes by driving up to the residence in a contractor van, punching a hole in the wall, tarping over the hole and driving off with whatever goodies they could find. Turns out a lot of the McMansions they're building here use gypsum based sheathing and studs on 24" centers so it takes little effort to pull it off. Neighbors don't seem to care, a few even ask for the "contractor"'s contact information.

Being a good neighbor helps in a time like that ;)

I would highly consider pulling wires. I just have no idea where t start looking for DIY Home security

Same as car audio. Need to understand your goals before I can really help. In fact WAY more confusing than car audio.
I may not even understand my goals yet... Any information source you use?
wholesale catalogs is my resource. Start with the simple goal. Why'd you ask the question

Mike go to a forum. There are tons. To make it easier look for home automation not security. There are magazines, ezines, everything....

Wiring up a home for automation, security, and/or networking also boosts resale values.

umm, no

Bought myself a Fly Racing F2 Carbon helmet in flat black today. Fits great, looks good, and offers a lot of room and ventilation. I do wish the goggle opening was a shade bigger. I bought some Fly goggles, and while they fit perfectly it makes me tilt the helmet back further then I like. I may have to get some new goggles.

I also ordered some handgaurds and Maxxis Razors.

509's fit great in an F2.

If you haven't got gloves yet check these http://www.bikebandit.com/alpinestars-smx-2-air-carbon-motorcycle-gloves

The carbon knuckles are great for trees, rocks, cactus. I generally get a size bigger than normal, and wear kevlar glove liners (helps keep my callous's down)

Must be a Texas thing then. Usually lowers your home owner's insurance rates too. Unless that's a Texas thing also?

Last night my dreams included burning alive in a building. It was extra special because my exhaling was a major source of oxygen for the fire. So as I was trying to escape ever breath I took sent flames against the side of my face. I got to feel my skin sizzle, crack and peel off starting near my temple and then over my left eye. Aside from the horrible painin my dream I felt my brain die. Memories and motor functions went away.

Right before I died in my dream I actually perceived my base brain functions flicker in and out. It was what I think a computer would perceive a constant restart loop where the bios kept trying to boot, but was slowly becoming more and more corrupted and couldn't communicate with it's parts.

After it all just kind of shut down I woke up, and as I slowly realised I had just been dreaming I started to feal my face ache. My eye was so disoriented it wouldn't focus in the dark at all. I got some water and went back to bed. Instead of switching dreams I was back in the same one. Only this time I was being revived. My brain was not coherent at all first and my senses were violently over powered in my minds perception of them. I had some synesthesia where the senses crossed like how some people describe being on acid. Only in some fresh hell kind of way.

Over what felt like days in the dream I started to have thoughts assemble correctly. All my memories and self awareness was there the whole time but I couldn't order anything. When I started to have full thoughts I understood some of what was communicated to me. My brain was dead but because I was a donor they used my body for a trial run of nerve replacement technology. When they started they found not only could the nerves work but my organs responded and they could keep me alibe 100% by activating my nervous system.

But my brain started to get some juice somehow. So they connected it up to find out if they could re, establish anything. That failed but they basically downloaded my memories and "personality" and set that up in a circuit with my feeble brain functions and my body. So basically it meant fear and pain was all I could access until it all worked itself out over how ever long it took. Even the most basic use of my body was learning things like a baby, but I had all my perception and emotion and rationalizations to exasperate the condition inside my brain.

The dream went away before I ever got a handle on the situation. I was just able to u understand the communications and do nothing back.

Super fun dream time!

That is freaky!   Are you taking any anti-depressants?

Nope. I usually have nightmares. This one was just so real and interesting it was worth sharing.

Most of the other ones are absurd or just ultra violent and gory.

Something that may be part of it was I just stopped taking the statin I was prescribed. I took it 4 nights and 2 of them I halucinated durring the night and basically woke up, started doing things then would wake up midway through taking a piss or getting water. As if I somehow fell aslesp mid task, then woke up again.

Did some research and found out statins do not decrease morbidity in patients who habe not had heart problems already and they can cause crazy muscle disorders and brain problems.

Also started reading more peer reviewed papers and found there is no connection between quite high cholesterol and heart disease. People with heart disease show mildly high cholesterol in general, but people with high cholesterol show the same incidence of heart disease as people with low cholesterol and HDL preferenced lipid panels.

So maybe my body is geting rid of that poison.

And please don't stop taking meds your doctor told you to because I made a choice and read something. In some situatio s statins save lives by the thousands. In my specific instance it seems the cost doesn't outway the benefit.
