Also, orange bitters.... Fuck yeah.

I can see why you like it Seth.

Orange bitters are orange rind in a bottle.

That shit is great.

Mine ended up watered down. I tried to get the sugar to mix with a few splashes of water. A bit more bourbon and squirt of Bernadine got me back on track.

Water in bourbon? You're dead to me.

Water in the sugar.....that then went into the whisky....

too much ice melted in the glass and it went limp. I refortified though. :-)

Use your bitters in the sugar. 1/1.

What about using an air intake to spin a turbine, in turn making electricity? Could that help with better efficency by making electricity as the vehicle moves? Due to drag, it may surpase the returns limits, but maybe not.

J

Big generators are powered by turbines.

I mashed and mushed for 5 min and it was a grainy pile.

I will try again in a few days. My limit is one small drink for right meow.

Back to ze headquarters to discuss how fucking idiotic their decision and lack of decision making capabilities are.

Growth for Germany since 06 = 0%, still at EXACTLY what they sold then. Growth since my hire in NA since 06, >400%. We are more saturated as well, they are just thick skulled and stubborn. Antiquated sales practices and some managers that can't make anything happen.

Big generators are powered by turbines.
Then could it be done efficiently on a smaller scale?

Sounds like schnitzel measuring to me.

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (WPLG/CNN) – It did not take long for City of Fort Lauderdale to make good on the promise to criminally charge those who violate a new ordinance that effectively outlaws groups from feeding the homeless in public.

On Sunday, the city charged three people, including two ministers and a 90-year-old homeless advocate, and they could face up to 60-days in jail for their so-called crime.

“I fully believe that I am my brother’s keeper. Love they neighbor as thy self,” explained Arnold Abbott.

90-year-old Abbott prepares hundreds of meals each week for the homeless in the kitchen of the Sanctuary Church.

“We serve two entrées at every feeding,” Abbott said.

But Abbott’s work now has him in trouble with the law.

He faces possible jail time and a $500 fine for feeding the homeless after he was charged Sunday with violating a new ordinance that virtually outlaws groups from sharing food with the hungry in the city.

“One of police officers came over and said ‘Drop that plate right now,’ as if I was carrying a weapon,” Abbott said.

Also charged was a minister from Coral Springs and Sanctuary Church pastor, Wayne Black.

“We believe very strongly that Jesus taught us that we are to feed his sheep,” said Pastor Black.

Mayor Jack Seiler warned arrests were coming.

“We enforce the laws here in Ft. Lauderdale,” said Mayor Seiler.

“It’s man’s inhumanity to man,” Abbott said.

Back in 1999, Abbott sued the city for banning him from feeding homeless on beach, a lawsuit he won.

“I’m going to have to go to court court again to sue the city of Fort Lauderdale, the beautiful city. These are the poorest of the poor. They have nothing. Don’t have a roof over their head, and who could turn them away?” Abbott asked.

Abbott is going to be firing up these stoves again on Wednesday when he has another food sharing plan for the beach. He says he doesn’t want to be arrested but he’s prepared for the possibility.

Why is my fridge freezing things?

Pissing me off big time.

Mine leaks water in the fridge section so I leave a bowl in the center for collection. Every week I got a frozen ice block.

Glad I remembered you replied too Mike. I wanted to ask what you use as a syrup? Next, do you prefer orange bitters, or plain bitters? To me, plain did nothing, is why I ask. Why the cherry and orange, then another cherry and orange? Not trying to be a smartass, I am trying to understand the art form of mixing, as I am a rocks kind of dude... I am learning! I use 12Oz rocks glasses, so I may skinny that up a bit wink.png. I do like the flavor that big fragrence imparts, so I tend to use big glasses.

Now on to club soda, as I do have questions about it. My concern is the bitterness that I taste with club soda. But I was wondering if the effervescence also added to the aroma. I can see how it will pull the flavor, via aroma, out of the drink, but is it really enough to overcome the bitterness that club soda imparts?

Thanks. I know you like good beers and have a similar palate when it comes to stouts as I do... so your input is valuable to me.

The syrup I made came from some recipe on the internet. I like Sean's idea about muddling with the sugar because I'm sure the abrasiveness of the crystals could maybe bring out more flavor, but if it means the sugar doesn't completely dissolve, I'm not a fan.

Sometimes I'll use the liquid in the maraschino cherry container as well as it is normally a sugar solution.

I prefer leaving the fruit in because I think that you probably get a little more flavor when it soaks..

I get no extra taste from the club soda. I think that I just really like the bubbles, and maybe having it mostly on top cleans the palate for the drink.

I put the extra orange/cherry on top just because it looks fancy. I like to practice presentation when I can, because your perception of a drink does affect your satisfaction. This effect is smaller when you made it yourself, but when serving to others it makes a difference. Also when you go to make the next drink and don't care anymore just shove it in there and pour the whiskey!

I need to go through another old fashioned making spree.
