Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Went to fish on the mountain this week and it was snowing already. Had to fish the river instead.

Whole and ground chilies are readily available in my neck of the woods. We have a multitude of Latino stores and at least a few isles of latino food at every store.

Here too, thank god. Ok, not a few isles, but whatever isn't at the local grocery can easily be found in one of the Latino grocery stores which there are plenty.

May the titties be plump and plentiful, the drinks be strong, and may you have many more orbits around the local star.

Congrats on your level up Neal.

x2!

Panama Canal turns 100 today, too!

It's that way here as well.

Got a mattress today Matt, but I already forgot who makes it and where I got it--LOL. Picking it up on church day.

Need a mat (at least 4x6') to go on concrete floors that I can deadlift on. Go go go!

I've found this: http://www.amazon.com/XMark-Fitness-Ultra-Thick-Flooring/dp/B005UAFH3A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=undefined&sr=8-3&keywords=weight+mat

And going to a Feed store to check out the stall matting like this: http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/rubber-horse-stall-mat-4-ft-x-6-ft

Carpet tiles are pretty awesome for weight floors.

Not good enough for a public use maybe, but private use it works great.

2 4x8 sheets of plywood, 1/2 or thicker. Cut one sheet in  half. Take the two halves, turn them 90 degrees; this way the grains of the full sheet will run perpendicular to the two half sheets. This will give you a 4x8 deadlifting platform. Glue and screw the sheets together using one entire tube of construction adhesive and 32 screws of appropriate length. Staple a strip of carpet remnant on either end of the platform to keep the plates from rolling.

If you're doing Oly lifts, you might want to use 4 sheets to construct an 8x8 platform like the guys did in this video.

In the video they use a mini sheet of 3/4 ply and 3/4 horse stall mat, but just carpet remnants will work fine.
