Found what looks like a possibly interesting project.

Thoughts?

Mustang 2s are the biggest piles of shit. No way I would own one.

On that note, I sold my Grand National yesterday.

Why?!

GN gone? Being replaced? Some of us are interested in a vicarious sort of way.

I grew tired of it. I spent the last 2 years begrudgingly putting it back together (rebuilt the motor and trans) and just didn't want to fuck with it anymore. I have other interests and hobbies now. Hell, I had it for 18 years now. It went to my son's best friend's uncle, whom we ride with quite a bit, so it isn't like it will be long gone.

If I could find a really clean Syclone I might snag one. But I am thinking the money will go better towards building a nice MX built TRX450R, and maybe getting the wife a new quad. I think a TRX250 would be nice for her with the forgiving sport clutch.

I've been looking for a Typhoon to daily drive for years. They're either junk or still too rich for me. Even when the market dropped on everything. They seemed to retain their value.

No use for one at this point.

I fucking love Typhoon's.  It's on my to-own list.

They're actually not too bad.  My 87 S-10 Blazer was actually pretty decent.

The Typhoons are OK, but I prefer the Syclone. They are both like the GN, really. A short lived niche vehicle with gobs of power from a small powerplant. Basically the Typhoon's back seat is unusable, and they weigh a lot more then the Syclone. While neither is really practical, the Syclone seems less so IMO.

What?  All these years I've known you, I assumed you were going to take it 6' under with you.

Up until a year ago I would have agreed. But I just got bored. I just finished putting it back together 3 weeks ago, and had 4 offers on it. I had better offers then the one I took, but the guy who bought it is a friend, so I know it will be in a good home. Of course, he did call me yesterday and told me "this thing runs like a scalded dog, is there some way to make it more manageable?" I told him I made it go fast, it is up to him to make it go slow. He may wreck it before too long.

Post a farewell pic?

I meant I felt bad for ribbing you on the bird and was done. Not my "cup of tea"

Ah. Don't feel bad. It's a personal preference. I know while I love driving it I think I could have more fun in something else.

Or a definition. Seems strange to me that your go fast car is slower than your pickup truck. smile.png

Me too. Hence why I am letting her go.

Then that Mustang is equally as ridiculous.

All I can think when I watch this is "This must be the way Sean test drives cars".

LOL true. I ran it by you guys because the people here have forgotten more about automobiles than I have forgotten.

And the bird still 'seems' to accelerate at a damn good rate. But its also smaller and lower than the truck so I am sure that makes a HUGE difference.
