A Kentucky restaurant has instituted a new policy of no tipping of servers. Instead, the servers make $10.00 an hour or %20 of their individual food sales, whichever is higher.

No way. Unless they are seving $500 entries. Typical net profit in food service is 10-12%

So they're probably earning the $10/hr then. Not bad for a waitstaff position.

If you scaled what I made hourly to a full time gig when I was in that position I would have been over $100k EASY.  My old roomate cleared way more than that as well.

If you can't average over 18% in tips you need a different gig as you suck at your job.

If that is your profit margin then you need to reconfigure your costs.

J

Percent net profit. Not points of margin. I have several family members in the business.

I hate fuzzy math. Points of margin is an accurate indicator, not percent net profit.

I have heard plenty on the argument of percent net profit. I have been to 20 groups, and have my parts ASE certs, where they choose to use fuzzy math as well. Sorry, but a 25% markup is 25% profit, not a 12.5% profit.

profit margin or points of margin is the percentage of profit of the sale price for example

50 points of margin on a $100 MAP item is $50 which is of course 100 percent mark up.

According to ole Robert Irvine cost of a plate should be roughly 33% food 33% overhead 33% profit. Waiter pay would come in the form of overhead.

How were they prepared? Both are easy to fuck up when cooking.

Grilled per some recipes I found.  The sprouts weren't bad at first, but I hate cabbage and that was all I got from it.  The egg plant was just bland.

Thanks Aaron, but there is a team of us getting it done.

The best feeling in the world is giving with the understanding there is nothing in return.

You've obviously never had a blow job from my baby momma.
I have never had an excellent blow job.

I would have thought you are a flexible man.

Used to be. The arthritis got me before my training was complete.

And you married the woman. . . . .

Tax reasons.

Eh there's worse reasons to do it.

SCIENCE!

Had a general chemistry professor do that under a fume hood. For some reason she didn't think she had enough for it to be violent.

So I talked to a guy in the UK about buying the inner fender and a part of the frame rail for the Miata. He chopped the whole corner from the shock mount forward. Frame rail and everything

At least I now have both sides waiting to be shipped :D

The guys at the shipping company are going to have a surprise

You must really love that car or got it super cheap.  No way I would be putting that into it.  If it's that's rusty that you're replacing frame rails, you just need a better vehicle.

Today the flooring will be completed along with the kitchen minus the quartz counter top, which we can't do.

I wouldn't eat a grilled eggplant either.

Sprouts need FAT and bad. Doesn't really matter what kind, but they need it. Completely terrible when cooked to soft as well. Need some snap like ALL green veggies.

Can't imagine how 90% of the world likes coffee. I was out and went to a chain this morning and the pizzle is hardly drinkable. And no, wasn't stupid enough to go to Starbucks as that shit I wouldn't feed to my plants.
