Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Recommended Posts

The wife and her best friend have been working hard to get back into shape and I figured I did not want to be the fat guy with a little hottie. ;)

I need to start working on it as well.

But time to grill.

J

Never stop grilling as that is great fuel for running and lifting.

I usually grill on Sunday night for the week.

Right now the main focus is finding work.

Cash up front Neal, 2 weeks to delivery, ship to them in a flat pack for DIY option too.  Find a local shop get it cut on a CNC router, and pocket the cash.  smile.png

Or looks like easy table saw bait too.

As easy as it sounds, I will pass. I can build them between sets, but don't really want to make it a daily thing.

Have to travel near southdale tomorrow. Yuk. At least it's not durring rush hour.

I'm so excited to see my rheumatologist.

My knee is fucking worthless. I'm limping all over and trying to swing beds around. Thank god the rest of me feels a bit better.

R2, did I ask you about what to check on my shooting?

I had to replace a bushing on the 1911 and all my shots are going down, and to the left. They didn't before.

With 2 other pistols I was pretty on target. Any guess what it might be?

Rust and corrosion are increased in the North.  Why is there a need for investigation?  This is common sense.  People need to be more vigilant and have maintenance performed on their vehicles and have them checked often for issues.

I don't see this as a GM problem, rather a consumer negligence problem.  Of course this is just my opinion.

ie Ford Explorer/Firestone tire of the 90s.

I agree completely.

You, the trigger, and your need to get ham fisted with it.  :)

What bushing got replaced?  Simple way would be to shoot it with the new one and old one and see if there is a difference.  If you think you are the influcence mentally, have someone change it and not tell you what it is, 'change' it again, and keep doing it.

Easier way would be give the gun to someone else to load and you don't know if its loaded or not.  A flinch will show up pretty soon as soon as you pull the trigger and watch the gun drop like a rock.

If the bushing changed barrel lock up, or the sights got knocked around when working on it, it could be the gun and not you.

First though is trigger, second is grip, like squeezing with the pinkie and pulling it down.

It was the bushing on the recoil spring.

I might try a new grip, maybe my hands have changed with the arthritis and I need it to be different.

I do flinch a bit. Trying to work that out.... :)

My 9mm has a harsher snap to it, but I shot great. Same with a friend's .40 and 9mm.

Try shooting at a blank target sometime, aka, put it backwards.  Shoot at the middle of the target, or where the hell ever you want, and just focus on shooting one shot properly, for an entire magazine.  The goal being to do the same press out, sight alignment, body position, everything and not worrying as much as to where it goes to on the target.  I think you'll be surprised at how tight of a grouping you will get.

Then shoot the target normal way, see which is better.  The fundamental concept of shooting isn't that hard, but our mind sure messes with us and makes it difficult.

Step 1.

Focus on front sight

Step 2.

No, stop looking at the target you nimrod.  Focus on the front sight

Step 3.

Cleanly break the shot.

Step 4.

Hey you, look back at the front sight, watch it settle back down and do it again.

I don't think I've pulled a trigger this year yet.  Can't find ammo to even shoot.

I bought a new Ruger MkIII last year so I could shoot more, haven't put more than 150 rounds through it.  I've got a few thousand of target rounds, but only about 100 plinkers.

I need to list some of my match ammo on some rimfire forums and see if I can trade.

My coworker who had a stroke just finally got back home. Pretty cool to see him recovering so well!

That kind of good news makes me happy.

Can definitely do Tuesday. Anything is ok. Don't have a shit ton of time as I have a 4 day week, a birthday day with Aidan, a day to pack and then I'm off to Asia.
