Fuck me!

I had an allergic reaction to some meds and I have welts all over, itch like a herpetic beaver, and my hands are so swollen it's almost impossible to use them at all.  I have to keep them moving because it's painful if I don't.  Dammit if I don't always have some stupid issue.

wtf, that sucks sad.png

Stay up late, drink rum, watch porn, and scream out the window then go to bed when the sun rises. ;)

Do you have a black rapid strap? If not, that is by far my favorite bag. I have a lowe 20 backpack or something of the like I use to carry it when I am not shooting, but no bag is worth a shit when you are. I use a pistol grip normally and it stays on with the black rapid.

You do need a special tripod to use one though so if you are contemplating a pod then beware.

Pack is for Rome. Do you recommend the black rapid strap then? I haven't purche one yet. I need something to cary my gear through the airport and all over Europe man. 2.8 70-200, 1.2 50mm, 2.8 24-70mm, 2x extender and a full size flash.

Batteries and incedentals.

Need to have access to be good enough for a wedding to hold shit, and not scream steal me.

I'm actually just about to walk out of work.

An hour abd 30 after close. Finished 500% to budget or some shit. Would have done more but it just got too late for an upgrade on a product. It will start tomorrow off great.

I'd prefer access that only can happen when it is off my back. I would only consider bags like this for touring. WAY easy for someone to open and take something otherwise. If you need access to your camera for a shoot the bag comes off and the camera goes on a strap. There is NO bag that works for easy access.

The closest thing to an easy access bag is the Crumpler. I use the 4 at home, but you could get the 7 and carry all your stuff. In reality you don't need access to the 2x, flash, or 50mm while touring around. Just the long and walk around lens. If you see something you must shoot you can then either walk closer or dig in your bag.

Have you played with the 24 much? I seriously think you should swap it for the 17-55. Just as tight of a lens from a PQ perspective and WAY wider. If you were full frame then I'd keep the 24-70 though, but you are going to miss many shots in Europe without it being wider.

Long you can make up for with your feet, short and wide there is nothing you can do.

Obviously people shots are the ones that are hard to run up on, but having a 2' long white lens is almost running up on tongue.png

This is true.

My kit lens is 17 if I need to go super wide,

So the last few things I shot I only used the 70-200 I did pop on the 17-135 for some wide family portraits, but I RARELY felt like I was too long.

Did you see those shots of the baby I sent you? Those were with my kit lens, I'm not convinced that I will much more for posed shots or decently lit shots. I got the super fast prime for.... Because I wanted it.... And really low light.

Also the 24-70 is perfect for waist up so far.

It is the best money I have spent on camera gear ever.

Seriously amazeballs.

Ok, so you made me nervous. I slapped on the 24-70 and shot some lifesized cut outs in my store. It was pretty perfect.

I will continue the eval. Makin me nervous smalls.

Go take some architecture and nature shots. That'll make you hate the 24. I have a 28-300 and it blows donkey dick for travel. (outside of the pq) as it never gets wide enough. I realize 28 isn't as wide as 24, but if it weren't for the distortion I could do a lot with just the 11-16mm that I have.

You aren't going to Italy to take shots of people only...

Do you use lightroom? Have you looked at your average/normal zoom of your pictures? I find it very strange we are at such extremes. My 17-55 NEVER goes to 55...

Better now while you can still return it.

It won't help your confidence in your choice if you google APS or crop and the 24-70 17-55...

Stop focusing on people, they are easy.

Do realize for them the difference between the 24 and 17 is 2 steps. For taking shots of stuff though a 17 makes it possible where you miss the shot with the 24.

There is a reason many pro's use primes.

I actually thought tests showed the 17-55 to outperform the 24-70 in PQ and all things on a crop as well. Smoked the 24-105

SInce you bought the spendy 50 it seems strange too to have your primary zoom lens be pretty much the same thing. Having it smack in the middle is a couple steps either way.

The love for the 24-70 is leftover from FF where the 17-55 is about the same reach on a crop.
