Welcome to the IHoP v.2

My buddy got an LS block for $300 bucks, dressed it for less than 1500 and puts out 400hp or so for his rock crawler. I think he dialed it back to 300 as he doesn't use it but for climbing.

I already have 400hp, it is shit.

Just the beginning of the project, lol.

Still trying to decide how much of a short block I want to buy/build and how much boost to run. What ECU programmer and boost controller. Wish it were obvious. Feel like a NOOB.

Sean go overkill/extreme in the power department. Even if you rarely extend its full potential, having huge overhead is great.

Only if you can make use of it. If you breaking shit or not hooking up, there is no point.

Overbuilding for reliability on the bottom end is good. Want it to last. SMoking the tranny may be a reality.

I hope you get the veterans job, but I wouldn't leave a job unless I got an offer or didn't need the $$$

Position was offered but it was not to work at the VA but rather for a legal firm that helps Veterans get the VA to unfuck themselves.

Three separate positions were open and the choice was up to me. Problem is the benefits package is (as also said by the interviewer) shit, and they only offered 26k salary. Needless to say thats far less than the last position I worked at, and with child support I cannot take shit pay as well as shit benefits.

The hunt continues.

J

have you tried checking usajobs?

I need to get back on there,

J

In a stripped jeep wrangler it feels a bit more impressive.

The 400hp bronco he had felt like a drag car with a lift.....so nothing like a drag car. It was a manual however.

Email from my father this afternoon.

"If you have been watching the weather, Dodge City, KS was 0 © this morning.  Sundays forecast is 100F.  You used to drive a truck that couldn't go 0-100 in 2 1/2 days.  Truly, you had a vehicle that was slower than the weather."

Had me about fall out of my chair laughing because its true.

I love this. I just want a hair more robust. Won't fit my camera with a battery extender.

The layout looks sweet, If I had more lenses I'd be all over that... but it looks like its made out of a hoodie type material.

what dslr are you using

Wrong direction smile.png

I know, but the runner looks good with a mild lift. All I would need to do is use FJ rear springs and adjust the bilsteins in the front to the same lift height and then have an alignment done.

We do a lot of lifts. The Land Cruiser springs will work for the rears, and adjusting the shocks will not lift the vehicle. You should do a spindle set in the front. My boss is getting ready to do 2 inches on his 2000 4 Runner with 33s, so I can get you his input on it. He is looking at ~$400 in parts.

I am on the fence still. I have bilstein 5100's with height adjustment on the front and when I put them on I kept them at normal heigth.

Any input is helpful and what are land cruiser rears going for down your way?

Fuck me!

I had an allergic reaction to some meds and I have welts all over, itch like a herpetic beaver, and my hands are so swollen it's almost impossible to use them at all.  I have to keep them moving because it's painful if I don't.  Dammit if I don't always have some stupid issue.

Do you have a black rapid strap? If not, that is by far my favorite bag. I have a lowe 20 backpack or something of the like I use to carry it when I am not shooting, but no bag is worth a shit when you are. I use a pistol grip normally and it stays on with the black rapid.

You do need a special tripod to use one though so if you are contemplating a pod then beware.
