Welcome to the IHoP v.2

So for someone who is more up to speed than I on these things, ie pays attention. I assume the PAC SWI-CAN interface will allow me with some other mechanism translate the CAN bus volume control for the Cayenne into some format that a CarPC can understand?

I see a wired infrared output and surely assume someone has a driver for something like that, but thought maybe there was a stellar integration.

This would allow me to fix the one pet peeve I had with the Cayenne when I drove it. The 1990's sort of Navi screen and interface. Plus modern Google Maps, Bluetooth, and my whole music collection could be had on a cheap Windows 8 machine.

And as long as the bus to the factory amps is not digital could even mimic any processing to get by using them and the stock drivers.

Psyched. Get the new front end for the IQR later on this week. Basically updating it to 2013 specs which will greatly improve it's trail manners.

Yes, the vents and shit won't be as nice, but it'd be cheap and give me a kickass interface that won't age over time.

Windows 8 is a perfect interface for the car IMO. Had I known the dumbo metro stuff would be so sweet I wouldn't have bought an Android for the boat, but just built a car PC. Not having a mouse is huge.

I would never have guessed the ML is faster in a drag race.

Can't be faster in the corners though can it?

As part of my rear brake upgrade I want to flush the brake fluid on my Jeep, it has abs and i don't have acces to a scan tool. Do i flush it and bleed it normally and not worry about the fluid left in the abs passages? I don't care for the small amount of old fluid left in the abs pump.

I know that if i need to bleed the brakes after working on them i can get away without cycling the abs pump.

Of course not, but the BM'er wins there.

Where, how, and why do you get a meatball sub at 3:30 in the morning?

Well after reading a bunch I'll just gravity bleed once everything is in place. Going to change the hoses too, 16 year old hoses and fluid...

Pipe flaring tool ordered. Brake hoses for the Golf calipers are next on the list and hopefully no other "major" buy comes up.
