Also, what is the easiest way to make the windows go up and down automatically. Most cars I've seen just have Auto on the drivers side, only for when going down.

I wonder if I could find your "module" and connect it to my car directly or with some mods. Got any pictures of it?

got me a GoPro Hero 3 Silver today. Gonna try to figure it out and see what the fuss is all about

What are you looking to film with a go pro, mostly good for stuff "on the go" extreme sports and such? Or are you saying, you aren't sure why the 3 hero silver designation is a big deal?

If I was young I would have whatever top of the line go pro camera for sure.

I just got it because I got a good deal on one and everyone says how nice they are. Figured I would try it out. Not sure what young is considered but my kids will enjoy it too. I will mount it in my truck and get various demos, take it to cruise ins and such. Mainly just something to mess with. If I still had my quad it would be perfect for that. The black edition is badass just dont think I needed it.

Ha, I was thinking about if they existed while I was in highschool I would have needed one. I have been getting into video a littke bit lately. Those go pros are beasts, but not too many settings right? Just made for ruggedness. Are they waterproof? Diving would be a blast with one I bet.

Had a nice GoPro moment earlier this morning.  A 850 foot long loaded oil tanker came within about 50 feet from slamming into the birthed Panamax I was on.  I was checking the hold on the ship when I started hearing the ship's horn going off.  I stood there for a minute or two looking trying to figure out what the hell was going on then one of the ship's crew said to run the tanker coming down th eriver lost rudder control.  Luckily the elevator I was at has two births and the other vessel there was complete and there were harbor tugs right there waiting to pull that vessel off.  If they were not there the tanker would have slammed into my vessel.  Sinking it and more than likely killing me, the crew aboard the ship I was on and the people on the dock.  The tanker was loaded so it was more than likely around 90,000 metric tons moving about 13 MPH.

Apart from safety reason, would there be any problems if I hook my electric windows directly to the battery, so I don't need the key or it being in a certain position for the windows to work?

I often think about just rewiring my whole car....

That is pretty close to the force from one of my jabs. I would have falcon punched the boat right outa the water.

It was definantly an oh shit moment as there was literally to where to run to.  They had one a few years back hit the concrete board walk in New Orleans  (actually about two miles down river from where I was at) and fuck up lie 200 feet of the board walk.  This was after the ship dropped both anchors.

The truth is though, everything is scarier on the water. Accidents being high up there with all the other nopes.

100 mph on my motorcycle, calm and collected. 80-100 on the little river jet boat I was on.... insanity. And anything above a calm trolling speed on a bass boat and its like my ass tried to eat my underpants. Not so bad now, but as a younger kid for sure. Big ass outboards and that boat feels like its at 11:50 and about to flip. Gotta get to them fish fast!

All the ships I am on are anchored mid river or docked at an elevator but dealing with the massive amounts of weight we do, when shit goes wrong it' snot a pretty sight.  There is a lot of traffic here and the river moves about 10 miles per hour when it's up.  In the past five years I've seen three dead bodies pulled out of the river and helped pull two live people out of the river that has fallen off floating cranes.  I've seen a floating crane fall of it's turntable, and saw a longshoreman get decapitated by a moring line.

I have no idea where it even is.  I just know about it from searching forums when I had window isssues.  Mine all turned out to be broken wires though, so I never needed to access it.

So your module gives you the ability to auto in all directions, both windows?

No, the module is nothing more than the relay bank for window control. The auto feature may be in there, but I don't know. There is also circuitry within the switch pank itself as well.
