When I make it for the fam, I used ground meat but that is so they can have leftovers while I am traveling.

Stefan two and a half shakes a day and you don't need anything else.  Lol

Pretty much. :P

I've actually been getting 1.34lb packets of 85% lean 15% fat ground beef from Costco, half gallon of lactose free whole milk, pre wo shake, post wo shake, dinner with veggies, and I'm finally up where I need to be.

Eating that much ground beef every other day perhaps isn't the best idea, but it's working for a few weeks until I rotate to something else.

Matt, or anyone else interested, have you ever heard of NutriTiming https://nutritiming.com/

It was made by some doctor. Input height, weight, age, etc. Comes up with a resting energy expenditure. Input what you ate for the day, and at what times, and what physical activity. Then it shows for each hour if you're in a caloric deficit or surplus. Supposedly it's common use with fancy athletes, or big people as you can see where they aren't eating enough, or eating too much.

Anyway I messed with it just for kicks, and won't be using it, so now I have 30 days left on my account until it expires. Anyone want it?

Basically if you already know your BMR/RMR/REE, track what you eat already, and know how to use MET tables then it's nothing revolutionary.

It's suppose to snow later today. We'll see if it beats two weeks ago's snow.

Storm predicted for tomorrow afternoon-thursday snow amounts from 12-24" here predicted and of course people are getting bent out of shape.  I can remember multiple times they forcasted snows like this, but not one that came true, snow and ice sure, but I don't remember anything over about 10" in the last 15 years.

We were supposed to get 8-12" on Saturday and got 1/3"

Last night I went for a rip and started to overheat since there isn't enough snow in some of the ditches sad.png

Now forecasted for 14-20" of snow depending on who you look at.

I also like my chili fresh which means no ground meat.  Steak is where it is at, but then reheating is not so great.

I like to use tough pieces of cow and let it simmer. Marrow bones too if I can find 'em. Basically chunks of spiced meat in broth. So good.

Ever since I mowed grass for a job I've hated it with a deep, burning passion

My lawn is 5 acres. I make the ole lady cut it.

On a tractor I hope.

Bought her a little 40 horse New Holland Cab tractor with a 72 inch finish mower. She don't mind it being she can stay clean and crank the a/c up. The other 135 acres are either planted with veggies or cut for hay.

Nice!

Sure would be hard with all the good places to eat in your area.

Chili powder = powdered chiles, salt, cumin, garlic, paprika; everything I already put in my chili

Predetermined mixes of spices are not spices and should never be used for anything.  Your own mix is viable, but if it isn't made fresh the day of use it is pretty much garbage.

Any and all premixed spice thingee's are ridiculous.  Read the ingredients, mix your own.  Most whole spices needed to be toasted a bit before use as well and start to fail miserably hours after toasting.  If you want to learn how to utilize spices learn to cook Indian food.  Even if they use flavors you don't like the techniques are golden.

Forgot how easy it is to rile you up when it comes to seasonings :tehe: Obviously I "roll my own", just saying that the spice blend in my chili uses (almost) all the same ingredients as store bought chili powder, so technically yes chili powder does belong in chili. Technically. :peepwall:

Stefan, are you using natural PB? It tastes better and will actually mix with other ingredients unlike the processed shit.

The chili powder I got is mixed at the store I bought it. I actually thought I was buying a chili pepper powder. Finding fresh peppers is not quite possible now but maybe in the future. I still do my own cumin (when not in a pinch).

The Cross Street Market would be enough for a couple months.
