The house has a ton more windows obviously but I need to measure their placement still.  Layout is priority 1.

So this is a new construction?

Shit.

I'm an idiot and forgot to bookmark the pages.  What websites did you gents recommend for brakes for German cars???

Sorry guys.  Must have deleted the bookmarks.  I think I have about 1 layer of aluminum foil left.

Lol

Find the OEMs, then Google for the best prices.

Zeckhausen Racing for BM'er stuff USED to be the spot.  Rock Auto/Alloembmwparts alternatives.

Jesus.  Vegas is just a different place.  The second hand market there is the new market here.

Its the Dubai of the US for easy come easy go.  I should just go thrift shopping there.  I've never been to Vegas actually.

The speed things move at and the turnover rate in Vegas is unreal. Truly the city that never sleeps.

I've been doing a lot of reading about great literature....

The stamina it takes to read the Russians is brutal.  Holy shit they tell a good warning story about Marxism and socialism.  Why in the ever loving fuck wasn't this part of my childhood education?

It's even worse now.  I literally have to retrain my son's brain on many things.

Things are crazy.

Working through people who wrote about Faust.  It's so important and so weird that an entrie way of thinking is being written out of history, and what we are not teaching people are the lessons that were a warning about how Stalin and Hitler rose to power(the Russian authors at least).

My furnace puked last year.  Put in a new Bryant Evolution.  System kicks ass and controls all three zones (soon to be 4) really well.

Did you get the 60,000 btu furnace?

Im starting to get into more mini split systems..I recently just attended a training class from Daikin they have stepped their game up in the mini split market..They have some pretty impressive multi-zone units and they redesigned their air handlers so they are not as much as a eye sore..Impressed me,I didn't much look forward to installing mini spits because they tend to be a pain in the rear when servicing sometimes.

60k?  For nearly 6000sq ft?, nope, went with the 120k which is also why I went with the Evolution.  Carrier quality and build, with the Bryant name and it is completely modulating so it is capable of delivering to smaller zones than a normal 120k.  Much more efficient, smooth and cheaper than a pair of 80k units which was the other option.

I figured you may have went with two 60k's if it was 2 story.. I just  twinned two 222,000 btu furnaces the twinning kit alone was $300 and had to redo all the gas piping as well more hassle then it's worth but anything bigger would have to been commercial and the building was not set up for 3 phase who ever done your install did they run a heat load calculation? "Manual J" looks like they probably just went a ton for every 500 sq ft alot of people try to say that you need a ton for every 500sq ft..This is not true no where close. Not sizing correctly could lead to moisture damage from over time

Complete load calculation for both before and after the remodel.  Had 6 companies in and investigated all options.  In the houses current configuration the load it would need is 110k so we went 120k and modulating to compensate.  Once remodeled the load calcs are up to 125k but I don't mind if it runs a little extra.  Humidity isn't the problem up here that you have down there as ours occurs in the summer, dry as hell in the winter.  My house went down to 22% lowest this winter and is sitting at 30% now.  I track the humidity in my office since my acoustics cannot be out of their case below 35%.

I shop like crazy as I HATE to rely on ANYONE to make a decision for me so I must become educated.  Complete disease...but that disease follows the hoppers around here.

The house is a 2 story with basement.  The dollhouse view I shared above is only the main floor.

I realize now I gave you the load calcs for heat.  For cooling was similar.  Between 4-5 ton weighing each way depending on the remodel or not.  Settled on a 4.5 ton which managed perfectly.

Good deal..Alot of people dont take time to do the load calculations and I dont blame you for the shopping around and if you ever do decide to do a mini split for a ad on or shop or anything like that..Check out Daikin they will impress you and I should be able to get you a fairly good deal "my cost"..I am sure you guys have United Refrigeration's up there. All I would have to do is at my local UR tell them what I want and who is picking it up and where.
