I haven't even heard of any of those

It's probably best that you haven't let pop-culture rot your brain like the rest of us.  Someone has to steer the boat. :captain:

I can remember the old man buying his first VCR.  Was a Toploader that cost $800 in the 80s.

Outside of corny comedy's, Pacific Rim was a good recent action film. Got the blood pumping like Commando or Cliffhanger.

Yes.  Seen both.  In airplanes though.  I watch one movie on each 8hr flight and sleep the rest.

Nope.  But I am quick to point it out when there is an opportunity so regretably when I don't it usually means I know of whatever.  Of course the old school shit Jared threw up I have seen many times.

Was just in a grocery and a guy buying cheese asked if the Raptor was mine.  Said no, the supercharged escalade and he about shit himself.

I have a 5lb USDA Prime bone in rib roast to cook tomorrow evening. I'm trying to figure out the best way. Pre-Sear or post sear? 200° smoke in egg?

Post sear would be easiest to do with Egg only. Pre-sear would be done in cast iron on the stove.

I do the thing where I put it in at 500, take it out when the roast says 95.  Allow for carry over.

If you sear first, the smoke cannot penetrate the meat. That is my understanding at least
