Doesn't the new one automatically include it?

Need to peak at the harness. If you had to cut wires you need to replace them, if it is a plug then you don't.

LOL, guess what I want now that I have passive keyless entry? Obviously, keyless go...

Well... jman.gif

Trouble is from time to time the starter fails to engage the flex plate on the first attempt (and strangely the revs jump up higher than idle). Then I have to switch the key to off and try again, otherwise I can crank until the battery dies and it won't start.

Not sure if it's a worn flex plate or a weird combination of CPS showing a bad signal and the ECU nanny trying to shut off the starter thinking the engine is actually running.

So having keyless go is not an option now.

Chrysler uses a double start relay. It is designed to prevent someone attempting to crank the starter while the engine is running. Once it senses a cranking event, it will forbid a second attempt at cranking until the key is shut off, and it doesn't pay attention to the engine RPMs, so if it doesn't start, it doesn't care. This is actually common on European cars, but it is also something Chrysler did long before the Daimer merger.

Aidan doing ok?

I was a wreck from whatever bug is going around.

Thanks for asking smile.png He is great actually. Slept pretty much all day yesterday and last night. Ate normal today and was back to himself. Now hopefully we don't get it!

Sat in some fun cars today

2016's

BMW M5

BMW M3

BMW M4

Maserati Gran Tourismo - I would fit if the seat rails were lengthened

Maserati Quattroporte - Boo

Maserati Ghibli - Don't fit

Benteley Continental GT Race - Fuck me I want one

Aston Martin Vanquish - So much prettier on paper

Aston Martin DB9 - Same problem as the Vanquish. I also fit in neither.

Aston Martin Rapide - I fit, but for way less money I'd get a Panamera. I may go back and drive it though, sales guy wouldn't shut up about how it drove for a 4 door.

2015 Jaguar F Type - I could actually own one from a fit perspective. If they can stay somewhat reliable it could be a fun car once it's depreciated for 10 years.

2014 Porsche 911 Targa - boo. Wanted a 997 pretty bad until I sat in this. The M3/4 is WAY nicer.

2013 Mercedes CL550

2012 Mclaren MP4-12 - um, no I can't drive it

2011 Ferrari California - if I had to buy a car today this would have won

I am shocked at the interior space of the M3. It is bigger for where I need it than the M5. The M4 is awesome for getting in and out of when I don't have the kids, but shit when I do. Pretty much nicer than everything that was a Bentley or Gran Turismo that I sat in today.

A Bentley Continental kit car that fits on a Tahoe AWD frame would be perfect. tongue.png

I have been really interested in an X6 or X5 in the tune of M.

I don't know if I can make the price work, but I think I would be happier with that. I won't be mad if I end up in another 550xi however.

Where he needs it. I'm going to guess headroom and knees.

The M3 is bigger than the M5???

I didn't say that. Was referring to how I fit. I am all legs, the seat moves to a position where my feet and legs have more space. I was shocked.

Boss has an X6 5.0 and I bet it takes your car. Seriously impressive. I really, really, really wanted the X6M when I bought the Caddy but taking my car allowance and adding $375 to it per month I couldn't do. Had the 5.0 fit in the free category for me I would have probably got one.

Sat in the new Camaro SS too. Forgot about that. Surprisingly I fit. Shocked to find 2 on a random lot one with sunroof and one without. The one with wasn't so good. Matches my feeling on on the ATS-V.

Camaro SS + FI = price of ATS-V

Funny as well. I've liked the 4 door F80 M3 > 2 door M4. Today I sat in a gray M3 and gray M4. M4 looked significantly better, but there was an all black M3 around the corner and it looked better than the M4.

Real question is more simple. Will I like forcing my kids to climb in over the seat or go through the back door.

And more importantly, how does that balance with how much easier and nicer it is for me to get into the 2 door with the larger doors.

Went out looking for the smallest fun car that I could fit the 4 of us in.

Tried to see a Chevy SS and SRT Charger today as well. Those I think are but ugly, but am curious on the interiors as that matters the most.

I'd snatch up an SS in a heartbeat if I had the coin.

I was just squeezing you for deets.

Good info to know.

I'm all torso and legs, but I would assume both are smaller that you.

Best of luck!

No one in my house got whatever I had.

I'm getting blood for labs taken tomorrow to make sure it was just a fluke and not something more serious.

How fucked up is it that I have to cancel one appointment with a specialist just to make an appointment with a different specialist?
