Welcome to the IHoP v.2

I have a streamlight strion used as an edc light for 2 years now, not one problem. A friend of mine who who is an aircraft mechanic has commented all of the guys there have the stingers and no problems there either. Rechargeable with a charging cradle that works well.

Remember you will either like the fit or not, there is no maybe in hand guns believe me.

Any opinions on the beretta storm 45...believe it is called Px4 , checked one out a while back and it seemed to fit in my hand well, and comfortably... also held a 45 cal desert eagle man that gun is big heavy as fuck, dont think they sell alot at 2,000$ lol

My carry gun is the PX4 compact 40. I love the gun, but for me it is not carry friendly. It took me a while to realize this. Great gun, but it is very top heavy. A full clip helps to balance, but once you start emptying it, it is more difficult to control recoil. At least for me.

I am actually looking into a smaller caliber for carry. You see many people concerned about "knockdown power." I don't buy into it. I'd rather be able to control a grouping quickly and precisely and load a body up versus emptying the clip of a larger bullet and hoping several hit.

I really do love the Beretta; it's the smoothest thing I've ever shot, but it's just not a great carry option for me.

Their product selector sucks.  Tried to find 18650 versions and didn't have luck. :(

Dug harder, these seem to be for the list as well.

Streamlight ProTac HL $130 - USB charge

The rest of the Streamlights seem to use C4 bulbs which I am not sure are bright enough for my application.  As an everyday sure....but I don't carry one every day.

They all get hot if left on for extended periods, so you want to find one with a continous duty cycle. The manufacturer will provide that info.

Over the past three years, I've purchased 16 flashlights spending over $1200. I have experience with cheap chinese knockoffs abd the expensive name brands as well. With that being said, for the best product AND service after the sale, you simply can't beat Streamlight, IMO. I personally won't put my money elsewhere.

Nope, they won't be using 18650's for their rechargeable, but they come with a cradle that you can wall/vehicle mount that you just drop the entire light in.

How many lumens do you want?

I have doubts on any of the small size high output lights actually running continuously for their given battery life, them guys will get HOT.

Pick any modern bullet from .380-.45ACP with a modern hollow point technology and they will do the same thing.

Regular ball ammo?  That changes things, but this isn't the 80's nor the military so that doesn't apply.

The S&W Shield in 9mm is my current favorite gun to recommend for CCW purposes.

Not to nitpick but if you are referring to the large Desert Eagle that is gas operated, they didn't make one in .45 ACP.

Cradle actually may be better than using the 18650.  I just like the fact I can carry an extra battery if needed.  Sucks to be 5mi from home on a bike with no light after dark.

As for lumens.  As much as possible while maintaining a > 1.5hr life.  A burst beyond that for use in the boat wouldn't suck either.

The only time ball ammo is a concern is for the range. Many people ens up with ball ammo for range use.

Perhaps a poopload

For real though..all b.s. a side a foot candel is equal to 1 lumen unit of mesurement for light that has been around way before the lightbulb.. A foot candel is the mesurement of light per foot(square ft) by candel and this was also known as candela
