I think it's more of the point that most of those drugs are less addictive, and if just in reference to driving, no one really wants to trip balls and drive IMHO.

None of the above stated drugs are addictive or have the possibility of lethal overdosing. Alcohol, amphetamines, and opioids have both. As far as driving goes, hell there are plenty of OTC cold remedies that I wouldn't take if I knew I was driving in the near future.

So my grandad gave my dad an old Winchester 70 a while back. Dad just pulled it out for me to check the age of it. Check the bolt, yep, claw extractor alright, so it's definitely a pre-'64. Serial number shows it was made in 1960. Nice.

Any behavior can be addictive.... Even healthy things. Perhaps we cannot gain chemical dependence in the way we can to opiates, but the behavior and stimulus is still addictive.

I digress, I agree that those drugs are still better than booze.

My to do list for the 4runner just grew a little. Replace half shafts, all 4 ball joints, and raise it 2.5".

I guess at 104k miles some things should just be replaced.

Where are you going?

Visiting one of my best friends in Orlando for a few days before SBN in Daytona.

If you get bored I can call my cousin in Fort Myers and you can check out his car collection.

Thanks as that would be very cool, but Jen is so much fun I am not sure I am going to have time to venture off.

I bought some soccer cleats today. Hopefully they will last (they actually have a leather top) and not be too heavy and not make my feet feel uber squished.

Adidas Kaiser 5 IIRC

They are classic boots, should do you well for at least a season.

I was hoping for years! :P

For future reference, do you have any recommendations for a comfortable long lasting shoe for someone with wide feet?

And yeah, the Jackson is sweet. WAY easier to tap on as well. Didn't realize how much easier Eruption/Hot For Teacher and such would be. I actually get good tone now!Of course, I need my fingers to speed up as I can't play them to speed yet. :(

I found myself messing with a few Dean guitars today in the demo room. Their collection of current models, and vintage models/poor sellers is INSANE!!!

The cost for a custom is insane, yet still cheaper than their top of the line guitar.

Wish I had a worth while wrestling sho to invite you to come see while you are down here. I am managing or reffing (I'll find out at bell time) on the 21st in Auburndale (about 20 mins from Orlando). If you two decide to go to St Petersburg or Tampa, please don't hesitate to call me. Would be great to get together and have a drink.

Collection, rofl. Wait until I post up some pics of the guitar store I bought mine from in Japan....and then relize there were probably 40 of them within a 1mi radius. FUCKING insane.

On that note, some slightly better pics in ze next post.

Ah, well if you were at the factory perhaps the collection was bigger than I imagined at first, lol. Thought you were at a store.

I will still buy one without a painted neck and sell this one. I can sell this for nearly double what I paid and that won't change for the next 5-10 years. May even get better.

Buying an oiled neck in Japan isn't a great idea as the humidity is so high. I figure this is a great interim solution.

And of course the reality is the oiled neck mostly helps me on stage. Sweat and paint = sticky. While I am naturally hot off stage, on stage I am a sweat bomb. I don't really plan on getting on stage though so that is somewhat of a moot point.

Of course, I am sure once I start playing I'll get on stage anyways. It is too much fun.

Plus the finish on that guitar is fucking gorgeous, how could I not buy it? I love blue guitars and rarely see one. The transparent and deep finish set me over the edge.

I looked at well over 5000 guitars before buying. Shopping in Japan is a guitar buyers dream. SO MANY choices.

Are the Seymour Duncan's active pickups? Imagine that made a big difference.

Love the blue color with the cross hatch pattern! The chrome doesn't suck either. Very sexy!!

God Damn car wash has a 30 min wait. WTF.

Your weather must be getting nice there too. I tried to drop into the car wash two days this week. Was a line of cars at all the washes. Ended up at home with the shop vac and pressure washer. FTW
