Have a place not far away that smokes some killer ribs....1/2 slab plate is like $13.99 with two sides or you can get a baked potato the size of a football...But I love some homemade smoked Boston butt...A fire hall not to far away smokes 250 Boston butts every year in this big ass block fire pit like deal..Some kind of fund raiser and that is probably the best I ever had

Played some more hardball with Direct TV, but didn't come out 100% winning this time.

 

I had a refer-a-friend settled. Except Direct TV couldn't install it the first time because the guy didn't have a large ladder. The next time another guy came out WITHOUT a large ladder and said he needed to see for sure if they needed the large ladder (seriously???). With that, my buddy said, "screw DirectTV" and has now amassed may streaming options and I lost my DTV refer-a-friend.  Being a good friend, he did invite me as a member of his household to his Amazon Prime account and I now get 2-day shipping again for free.

 

Called DTV and told them all I wnated was the refer a friend discount I should have got. Best I got was $20 off this next bill.

 

Sounds good to me, because if I cancel next month I've received the entire $20 benefit.

Yeah I was super bummed when I couldn't buy it. Tomorrow morning I'm stopping by the chem glass blowing shop on campus and going to see if anyone can make something similar. Last time one of the guys made a wine glass in five minutes.
