Shouldn't any 4K TV have it's own up-converter? And shouldn't it not be any better than the 1080P Content?

No, when I was looking at them I was told to get the most out of it you have to buy the up converter to get until the cable companies can provide a 4k signal.

A friend bought a Sharp Q+. We set that thing up and I loved it. I am a Sony 4k guy, but after that Sharp install I may switch at a later point.

I believe all the newer 4k TV's will upscale to a point.

Kind of like up scaling 720 to 1080, it can be done, but nothing replaces a true signal.

In today's shared tech world it is pretty hard to buy a shitty tv.

My next one will be mounted to the wall because I don't want to buy a larger center channel.

up converting is pretty much pointless

I agree, that is why I still run 1080 and have not bought in the 4k yet.

Enough with my tv rambling.

My brother has started his FFL process! You know what that means!

So why over time does my wireless router always become a complete POS?

It takes FOREVER for it to load web pages, but when I hard wire I get 25+Mbps down and 7 up.  Wireless tests at 6.5 down and 4 up.

Feels like it is WAY WAY WAY slower though.

Does it need a hard reset like all other PC shit?  Seriously, should just fucking work.  Aaargh.

For instance it takes about 8 seconds to load Gmail from the Google home page.  That is not Mbps but maybe 56k, lol

Once a page is loaded it is quicker.  A post from reply to showing up here is about 3 seconds.

But if I was at a different webpage and went to SSA it takes 8-10.

We have the same router I am pretty sure.  I have not installed DD-WRT as I have no idea what it is though.

Maybe all that snowmobile porn is slowing your router down.

I may be helpless, but not that helpless.  Multiple reboots.

There is another problem though.  I can't get Yahoo mail, Gmail, or my Exchange mail on my phone when connected to it either.  I get a Proxy error.  To be fair, the router it is plugged into (acting as a switch) has a direct connection to Germany and our HQ.  If you turn on Automatic Proxy detection it will force all web pages into German.

I have an 8 inch mid in my center... It's fairly large.
