Similarly, had the personnel at Three Mile Island performed their job the correct way, the way they were trained to, that reactor would still be online.

Honestly, I cannot speak for this. Your expertise in this field far exceeds mine, so I must digress. I have not studied this in any way, shape, or form, so I am not able to voice an opinion, period.

Not trying to be a chickenshit, I am just being sincere.

Every sordid detail of the event is readily available on the internet, in one form or another.

Lots and lots of info to digest, though.

Touche' BUt I was referring to the legal ramifications of your initial, biased assumptions of guilt, not your desire to discredit those in charge of maintaining your health/welfare.

While I don't doubt you, I have not really done any research. I will not shovel a bunch of ill informed bullshit to fill my bill. Unfortunately you have elected to do just that with regards to this case in NYC, and you have even readily admitted it.

DOn't be another one of those worthless tidbits of information, show some realistic proof of that opinion...

There is no bullshit to shovel through. There is simply a video that shows the entire encounter, including the aftermath of the altercation. The same exact video that is on practically every news website across the country, if not the world. No conflicting eye witness testimony, no he said/she said, no fluff, no filler.

OK, so I grabbed a few more higher end sticks tonight and finally smoked an Ashton. I grabbed an Ashton VSG Sorcerer, a Montecristo Epic (toro) and my guy gave me a free Arturo Fuente to make up for the shitty one I got last week I didn't mean for a freebie, I just told him the draw on it was miserable. He said that he stood by his product, and he wanted me to try/have another for free, on him. He also gave me a 10% discount on the sticks I bought tonight...

Honestly, he is within a buck of whatever I grab online.By the time I pay shipping we are honestly almost exactly on par. His recommendations have been on point thus far. I am extremely pleased with his service. I hate to throw that word out there for a salesman, but I trust the guy. He is ridiculously fair, honest, and knowledgeable.

Am I just extremely lucky, or is this common?

My shop is awesome too. I can save online, but I buy my random sticks in person based on suggestion. I get 10% back at my shop or 10% off up front it I buy a box.

Also, find those Cain Daytonas.

But you, as a nuclear technician are charged with maintaining my nuclear health... unfortunately, right now, you have elected to absorb the cash infused to government healthcare so that your sprained wrist negates you from working for the rest of your life while I, and everybody else here, pay for your lifelong inability to work, including healthcare, for your sprained wrist.

Not sure if you are aware, but 5 years ago when I was told I was going to die due to 4th stage cancer, I didn't swallow the government lamb, I went to work to support my family. I was puking from the chemo, and paying tens of thousands of dollars (yes, I did have health insurance) for my medical care so people like you, federal employees, could get an exemption for the rest of your life for a sprained wrist caused by jerking off. because you were a federal employee. Am I bitter? Yes. Do I wish I was that lazy? Fuck no. I am prod of the hard work I have put forth for as long as you have been alive. Are you proud that you steal from me?

I am paying for your healthcare... do you give a fuck about me?

Yeah, Phil is awesome. I am pleased by the way he takes care of me. I think, for the most part, he is my go to guy.

I don't understand the relevance.

As to the NY thing that officer knows he shouldn't choke hold anyone. He obviously did exactly that. That's all. When he fucks up people die directly.

If you fucked up someone's brakes Seth, they may die, but it is indirect. Even if you deliberately cut a corner. Despite the same result and even arguably similar negligence, that officer directly killed another human. The death may not be his desired result but he deliberately used a method he isn't supposed to and then followed through.

It was calculated, and committed. Not just a struggle that ended up that way. The public pays for that officers healthcare, rent, food, everything, and I would say that his negligence is an order of magnitude worse for our public than 1000 people getting assistance. They may be theives but he is a murderer if we want to use your measuring stick.

I slipped and pulled something in my back. I wish I had some good meds. Tramadol is it. If I take my cyclobenzeprine I will not be getting up for the morning meeting.

But you, as a nuclear technician are charged with maintaining my nuclear health

I'm not charged with anything. I am legally bound by local, county, state, federal, and international law to protect the general public from the release of radiation.

I am in charge of maintaining my health and welfare. No one else.

unfortunately, right now, you have elected to absorb the cash infused to government healthcare so that your sprained wrist negates you from working for the rest of your life while I, and everybody else here, pay for your lifelong inability to work, including healthcare, for your sprained wrist.

Carpal tunnel surgery, not a sprained wrist. My medical insurance covered everything but the copay. No workers comp or LTD necessary, although I did miss one day of work. Ironically, the surgery should keep me from having to suffer permanent nerve damage, in which case I would need LTD.

I am employed by a private corporation, not by the government. Again, not a sprained wrist, carpal tunnel surgery.

EDIT: As to the rest of it, there is no need to make personal attacks. We can just agree to disagree on the subject and move on.

Pretty sure he's not a government employee, but if he was, I still don't see the logic here.  EVERYONE pays taxes, so in effect, if this is an argument, those supported by taxes are self-sustaining as they are taxed themselves.

I remember reading an article somewhere where someone was charged with involuntary manslaughter after playing a prank on someone causing them to have a heart attack.  There was no malicious intent here, but much like the large man "killed" by these police, the person in this case had health issues as well leading to the death.  The pranksters did not know this, but were still held accountable.

It's all in the jury and people' points of view.   That's all it comes down to.

Much like the Ferguson thing, there is so LITTLE information we actually do know.  The media overhypes, misconstrues, and basically over dramatizes issues and people often react negatively because as a people we are still animals.

Watching the videos from Ferguson reminded me of monkeys slinging their feces in anger.  We claim to be so civilized and intelligent, but something so simple as misplaced anger can take our "civilization" right back to our anaimalistic instincts with nary a though or twitch otherwise.

I understand that isn't a choke hold, a choke hold uses the elbow to compress the entire neck. NYPD policy is to first use submission/grapple hold, not taser, baton, oc spray, etc. What he did was taught by and correct by nypd rules/policy.

Just what I've read about it.

That is the great thing about the hop is we all can have a different view on everything and still have fun and not take anything personal. At the end of the day nobody has the same view, it is how you sway your view to be in line others to justify it.

It is all good because if we were all the same none of this would exist. :)

I love choke holds, nothing like being the guy they are demonstrated on to teach others. Yes that was me way back in the day, but hey it gave me a better idea of how much pain you can force before the black out happens.

Plus Tasers are fun, but hurt like a fucker, although a stun gun is a 7 second ride that makes you fall and do funny things. The only thing that sucks though is taking the barbs out of your skin afterword.
