Exactly what I told her. If she had hit the cow it would go on the cow owner's insurance and no deductible to cover. But because she hit the ditch and not the cow it's thru our auto insurance and I have to pay the deductible. So that swerve cost me $500.

Plus the cow would have been enough to total our POS van = mo' money.

Hate to say it is worse.  The cow causes no points and is fault free.

I don't see the harm in that at all. I understand some people abuse asking or needing help.I have gave money to people for food before just to see them head in the direction for a crack motel..But people lining up for a hot plate is one thing....Who is to say they don't need it..But I am totally against lazy mofo's will not get off their anus and leech of the hard working man/woman tax paying dollars. But that man was doing a good dead..If anything they should have jumped in and help serve them and get them on their way.IMO

Yep. Frankly the whole thing equally pisses me off and sickens me.

A) Why can't one human being help another human being? Literally FEED them.

B) I'm big on people being able to do what ever the fuck they want so long as it doesn't endanger others. I'm extreme in this sense, eg if you want to fuck another man in the ass at home, go right ahead. You wanna do heroin and possibly OD, that's okay too. As long as you don't fuck that man in the ass while driving your car on the freeway or shoot up and take a ride. So for someone to tell me I can't give another person food so they don't go hungry is complete utter bullshit. And I despise those that enforce such shit, I don't care if that's their job, I don't care what color shirt you're wearing--you're a fucking asshole plain and simple.

When I hit a deer I called it in, I didn't know you had to but my country buddy told me it's a thing.

The woman on the phone asked if I wanted the meat. I would have but it ran off.

I would have asked her if she wanted the meat and then I'd have given it to her.

She sounded like she could have used some meat. Quite lonely and and her geritol was probably wearing off.

Fuck all the cable companies.  Going off line I'd love to do.  Where the hell is internet TV?

I agree Sean, the internet service here sucks unless you want to spend $70.00 plus a month for cable. We still have old phone lines which limits our DSL.

I know a few people doing a mix of AppleTV, Hulu and Netflix for less than standard Cable.

Took my cillege placement tests yesterday. Scored better than I expected on two of them, and about where I guessed on one.

123 Reading

113 Writing

83 Math.

I can get into the honors program for English with a 115 in Writing, so today I'm going back to retest. The math score means I will be taking 'Developmental Math'. Honestly, this does not surprise me. My math grades have always been piss poor, so this may be an opportunity to get back on track with it.

https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20131012/02124724852/decades-failed-promises-verizon-it-promises-fiber-to-get-tax-breaks-then-never-delivers.shtml

A decade ago, we wrote about how Verizon had made an agreement in Pennsylvania in 1994 that it would wire up the state with fiber optic cables to every home in exchange for tax breaks equalling $2.1 billion. In exchange for such a massive tax break, Verizon promised that all homes and businesses would have access to 45Mbps symmetrical fiber by 2015. By 2004, the deal was that 50% of all homes were supposed to have that. In reality, 0% did, and some people started asking for their money back. That never happened, and it appeared that Verizon learned a valuable lesson: it can flat out lie to governments, promise 100% fiber coverage in exchange for subsidies, then not deliver, and no one will do a damn thing about it.
