They don't make the front parallax adjustment housing anymore I don't think and they don't have the amazing magnification range that I got mine in.

That was one of the best features.

So I bought the Vortec Viper. It is a kick ass piece of glass. The gun is rock solid at 400 yards, no issue for deer.

 

I may be considering a bit better glass for long distance varminting. I have a field I can go to with wood chuck and coyote at 500 yards. I am anxious to split a dog in 2 from 500 yards with a 22 round...

6-24X50. It is a bit soft at 22-24 compared to my buddy's Ziess, but his glass was $300 more. I can't complain at all.

 

When I upgrade it will be a Vortex Razor. 4.5X27X56... but it is a pricey piece of glass at just a cunt hair over $2K. Super clean, super simple to use...

That's pretty sucky. I upgrade people for free all the time but I do talk to them first just in case.

Nope, they didn't notify me, or ask if I would like the upgrade... So now I have to go through the hassle of sending it back to them as it doesn't work for the intended application.
