Japanese get excited if there are ANY items that they see from home.  Menu's that are 10% filled with memory lane are even appreciated.

 

I'll give you a few hints on Japanese fare.  1) A California roll is named aptly 2) Steak varies from $30-$60/oz in Japan so anytime you see a concentrated beef dish with the word steak in it, well it isn't going to be found that way in Japan.  ie, a 10oz filet would easily be $300. 3) A Japanese meal will ALWAYS end in rice/rice noodles.  Almost like coffee to breakfast for us.

So then price in a Japenese resturant should reflect the prices seen in Japan for authentic food?

Also strange imo it go to epcot to eat what is prevalent in every major city. If they had ethopian, Malaysian or something not so prevalent itd make way more sense. And the Moroccan restaurant there is complete dogshit. I ate about 10% of my entree and left

For what I have a feeling will only be this year, we got passes to the park. It's just a nice way to forget everything for the day. Yes the crowds suck something fierce, and the lines can be a pain in the ass. The overall experience when we went the first few times was simply relaxing and amazing. Now, I doubt I will be renewing.

We never go to Epcot just for the food, but also for some of the concerts, and the experiences. For us it's a lot of fun to see how well they immerse you in architecture to make you feel as if you are in a stereotype of the country that part of the park represents.

Picked up my rental car today, a Nissan Versa.... I figured, okay rental car companies have nicer lines, so whatever. I get to the car and go to open the trunk, no trunk button on the keys. I open the back door to hang my clothes and there is nothing to hang them on. I jump in the front seat, move up the seat to where I can comfortably grab the steering wheel and my knees are in the dash. Nothing other than basic radio.

So I go back up to the desk and politely ask for a different vehicle. For $10 more a day I get a brand new Chevy Cruze with leather power seats, Bluetooth radio, push button unlock/start. The Cruze is turbocharged (though a small ass turbo and engine) has a sunroof and XM. Oh and it actually has a place to hold my clothes!

Who wouldn't do that? Hate that I had to pay more because I should have got something better to begin with, but when I'm driving 2 10+ hour trips I think a little extra comfort is worth it.

Driving a Versa right now myself, lol.  $12/day though so I figure who cares, plus I am driving a whopping 20mi per day for 2.5 days

Case in point: my "standard issue" work pants are Wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans. OW MY BALLS.

 

Funny story. I went and tried on a pair of Cowboy Cuts over the weekend for shits and grins. HOLY SHIT ON A SHINGLE I CAN ACTUALLY FIT INTO COWBOY CUT WRANGLERS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. OMGWTF. Small victories.

The Canadian steakhouse in Epcot was alright. IIRC I had the aged rib-eye. Most of the food there, including the "around the world" food was worse than institution food though.
