Fuck.  Gotta a pissed wife.  She obviously wants to go to the Stearns County Fair really bad.  Her whole family is there.  I absolutely HATE shit like fairs.  Full of fucking morons that I really have no desire to talk to and people performing stupid shit that no one should ever bother to watch.  Needless to say, she said she'd be okay with 2 hours so I laid out the day to where we could be there for 2 hours and she flipped.  2 meant 4.  Now she is "ok" without going as she doesn't want to deal with me there.

SUcks.  I haven't been home for a SINGLE Saturday this summer.  Guess that trend continues.  Made worse since the next 2 I am gone for as well.  BOOO

Gotta ask what kind of stupid shit do they put on there?

J

No different than going to any big festival or attraction that gathers a lot of people.  Akin to Disneyworld, State Fair, Amusement Park, Casino, blah, blah, blah.

I'd personally rather go get a toe tipper done by the Doc than go to any of those places.

I used to love the fair.

People watching is fun. But as I get older it feels more and more like a waste of time. Not a bad place to get a deal on random stuff though.

Anyway... I rarely give into things for the wife anymore. Movies and once and a while a shit restaurant. We don't have little ones though. The dog gets his way 100% of the time, until he gets in the way and I get kissed.

Matt, I'm buying a cheap mattress pretty soon, as in a hundred bucks or so. I'm guessing at that price point they're all the same and shouldn't be overly concerned about brand x over brand y?

Do you hate yourself or people visiting?

Yeah man. We have a queen mattress only for $98. In MN it's a lot better than the competition. The firm mobs up deep in AZ. Probably find your best deal there.

That's the damn truth. But for young college, or just out of college, I don't fight it.

Is you decide to buy a good one I will hook you up anyone here big time.

Or do I hate people visiting? :P

No I'm just on a budget. I'm sure my current mattress was cheap as fuck and I sleep fine on it, but I don't remember what I got and don't have the tags.

I know this doesn't sound like the thing to be cheap on considering the amount of time we spend on it, but I'm in college. :shrugs:

$100 mattress last 6 months to a year of.... :meh: sleep.

$400 mattress lasts 1-10 years of better sleep.

It's about keeping it clean and if you use it as furniture.

Mattresses are the same as shoes. Only things you buy and don't eat that will change your health. Spend as much as you can wisely.

If you do go into a MF the Somerville, Amherst, and Montgomery are the 3 I would look at as an OK option.

If you want ultra cheep, the chambers is the lowest price. The Whitney is massively better for only a bit more. Skip the Danbury. The Whitney is a better bed despite being cheeper.

Sounds good, thanks. I'll probably check out what Costco has too.

Proper fitting pants change your health too. :lol2:

Case in point: my "standard issue" work pants are Wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans. OW MY BALLS.

They're more than lenient about it though; they're willing to order practically whatever jean/pant you want.

Siemens Deka 80lb FI EV6 $360

DOD Delete kit $674

LSX Oil Pan Turbo supply $26

VVT Delete $119

Melling 10296 Oil Pump $150

Total: $7,002

Do I need: Beehive LS1 Valvesprings $140,Push Rods, Catalytic and/or    Exhaust,  Oil feed adapter $19

I wouldn't worry about springs unless your lift requires them. You won't be winding it out much higher than current redline so I don't forsee a lot of float. Pushrods, not really.

Cat and exhaust are suggested with the hairdriers. Better flow after the blowers and short tubes before have always proven optimal.

Not sue what the feed adapter is. Is the requirement based on a resized pump feed inlet?

In your opinion, a log manifold for a DIY turbo kit would be a good value option? Most likely built by me after seeing how easy it was to weld some stainless exhaust tube smile.png

(I want to turbo the Miata)

Turbo's are pretty forgiving.  Just want them close to the exhaust and sized appropriately.  Considering your motor size you can get away with a used diesel piece.  Plenty of reasonable chinese intercoolers on ebay too.  If I had time/skills to make something I would, but I don't.

Plenty of people upgrading their Subaru turbos here, sourcing a turbo is the least of my concerns :)

Christmas gift to me will be a Megasquirt. DIY PNP probably. Run that N/A and turbo it once I feel comfortable.

I got the bike yesterday. It needs a brake upgrade and a bit of TLC. Other than that, it's ready to ride. I already maxed out the gears riding around the block
