Might buy the wife and daughter their own handguns to play with. She liked this one. Any thoughts?

Arming the wife is never a good idea wink.png

Maybe that shot will jam and I can run wink.png

She can still pistol whip you.

Anyone have garage door opener recommendations. Mine work like shit and instead of spending ANY money on fixing them I am going to replace them.

Single door. Need 2-3 of them. Probably buy 2 and leave the third stall jacked.

Chamberlain.  They are the GE of garage door openers.  Another big name manfacturer actually gets some of their parts from Chamberlain.

They make the Craftsman units too, no? Bad to buy one of theirs?

Really was hoping to see a stellar Sears coupon so I could grab two openers and a Die Hard Plat.

I have helped install Genie and Chamberlain. Not sure what is good or not, but they are still working well and very quiet.

Yep!

Chain/Belt? I like the idea of quiet...but don't want intermittent anymore.

Unlike other Sig pistols, I haven't heard many good things about the Mosquito.

I have been reading that, but also read that sig has redone this gun to help with the jamming issues in 2012.

I am not sure yet as I am going to look a little harder at the 1911-22.

My brother bought his tiny wife a 938.  He and I both love it so much, we're looking into getting or own.  Small, light, dead nuts reliable, but not cheap.

IMO, their openers are very well made.

I prefer a screw drive, but even the chains are quiet nowadays.

Oh, nothing; just replacing the starter

8yLuRQx.jpg

Oh sweetness, and people complained it's difficult to remove the starter in the Jeep: remove exhaust manifold, remove turbo and downpipe and presto.

Remind me NOT to buy a VW/Audi

Fixed that for you.

Anything in .22 is a bad idea for reliability IMHO. But a 1911 with a .22 conversion makes a lot of sense from many perspectives. It would hold value and could be a decent sidearm.

With how hard .22 has been to find, and my experience with at least 1 in 500 rounds always being dead even from the best MFG it's only good for paper and plinking.

You said no one is going to carry so then any 22 will do. I would recommend a heavy bull barrel Ruger or similar. If you just want it for accuracy.

Neal, it's funny that I pull up this page and they talk about how similar to a 1911 it is.

Best non Uber special custom everything 22 pistol I have ever shot.

I bet Ryan 2 could wax poetic about the real good stuff. I don't like .22 as a Round for pistols in general, but maybe that is why I am such a bad shot.

The Sunbeam and the Pantera YES the rest WTF?
MR2 is allowed also.
914 > MR2

Really?

I have never been in a 914. A few buddies had MR2's.

Most of my friends were Asian guys while in school.

The 914 is fun and easy to make power in. So light and the powertrain is in the right spot. I suppose you "could" do that to the Toyota, but meh

You have done everything to that truck that I wanted to do to the expedition.

I would have lifted my truck, but you get the point.

Hate you a little but right now. At least it's not a Chevy.
