The hack is easy, you just need the address.

AFR need is due to not trusting the tune. I know no tuners and know the road I am going down will mean tinkering. Long term I plan to even do that myself. Having full display of critical parameters on board helps.

Boost/AFR/EGT/Fuel Pressure/IAT along with standard 60's gauges and I'm happy.

Sounds to me like I'll need AFR & Boost for sure the rest probably not a problem?

Yeah, but you will need to have a new bung welded into the exhaust and a real boost pressure sensor to do it. The Boost sensor is simple, tee it in line with any manifold vacuum source... but the exhaust bung will require a welder and a skilled welder to be sure it is properly sealed.

There's a plethora of LS tuners throughout the country.  It's easy to tune safe with no need to tinker.   You should only need to tinker if you're chasing numbers and we've already had that conversation.  Keep it a little fat and you're fine.  Easy to tune for

Not planning on paying for a 3 day dyno tune...

And it isn't about 10ths but about learning. I will tinker....and even with a plethora I've now read too many books on it to trust any of them completely. If I don't monitor and watch, I can't learn and you know that isn't me.

Need a boost sensor to have adjustable boost.

Exhaust is going to be welded already, sort of necessary when you turbo something that didn't have one before. Will allow the tuner to then use the bung I have added.

Think I can fit this in my clock slot.

Need to mock it up so I need a 80mm x 25mm x 90mm piece of foam or something. Beating my head against the wall trying to think of what I have laying around. Almost went out and pulled out the table saw, but there has to be something quicker laying around the house.

Perhaps an analogy is in order.

Audio noob pays shop to tune his stereo. If I am that noob does that make me happy? Does it matter if it is perfect? Nope, I want to know what was done, why, and how to tinker it to make it more personal to me.

I see no difference in tuning the car and a stereo. Sure the subjective portion now becomes related to what spark, fueling, shifting, torque management and such you feel are safe and balance performance. So instead of SQ I'll be chasing safe and want to understand how to further leverage that, understand it, and also make sure when things change I notice and know what to do about it.

Started to get Service Suspension notes on my screen today. On and off. Then other lights started to turn on and the car started to beep at me.

Then I realized I had left my shitty OBD connector attached today....

Unplugged, restarted and bam all good.

Hmm, what goes in the truck?

IMAG0034_zpsoopvspqq.jpg

Going to pair them with the Scan D2904's in my basement. Ought to make the installation portion easy which is important to me atm.

if you're building an enclosure, the Revs are the winner.

Yummy, yummy! I would do the Revs in a heartbeat if I could mount them on axis. Would be a coin toss in a factory location.

Those are 7's...

What variant of the D2904 do you have? I haven't played with any large format tweet's. I assume they have more flexability to achieve imaging and sound stage having the extended low end reach?

Super stoked to hear your going to run the U's.

You could build a link with heim joints. would be adjustable.

Bingo. Look for carburetor supply shops, particularly dual carb Carter setups like old Z cars (where side drafts are eliminated in favor or top mounted carbs) or tri power Chrysler or Pontiac set ups. The linkages need to be timed, so these should be available there. Just use all thread or threaded rods for your adjustable links.

I thought the same about the throttle links as I was on Summit, looking at those for the Stang,  right after posting that pic.

6000 or 1, I don't remember atm. Whatever they sold to Alpine.

I have plenty of large ones downstairs I might rather use, but until everything is mechanically finished the stereo build is staying simple. Part of the Turbo is the carPC so that means new speakers since the stock amp is CAN.

And J, I really like the U's. Nearly the Excel without all the negatives and more of what is needed on the bottom end.
