Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Recommended Posts

I have one for sale. It includes a spare engine, transmission, and rearend, along with a plethora of interior parts. It's already geared, chipped, and has a shift kit, and includes a set of wheels with winter tires and brand new tires on the other wheels.

Why would you sell your Mk if you have all that?

Because the Town Car has spoiled me and I no longer want to drive it. I did wish the TC had the power, feel, and sound of the Mark, but . . . I like a nice quiet boat now.

Then again, I am in desperate need of something to thrash on.

You like the town car better? I suppose you can build the engine to have way more power in the TC, so, more fun.

There is a guy next door at work who has a Cayman S and I really like that car.  I keep trying to get a ride in it.

So I built a box for my buddy for some RE8s.  I used this stuff called Duratex to coat it.  It's supposed to be designed specifically for speaker enclosures.  I really like the stuff.  I think I'm going to have it tinted purple and do the Mark box in this stuff.

Building a box for a car that you have for sale?

Box is built, has been for a while.  I ALWAYS sell a car with better than stock in it.  You should know how non-existent the bass is in those things.  I got a bit of midbass in there, and a crappy sub to get rid of.  Shit lying around that can steer a buyer towards paying is a win win for me.

Or you could be me with a huge closet full of stuff I pulled back out to sell. Doh.gif

Definitely the whole package makes sense. Have to do the Cadillac, but it isn't that high on my priority list atm.

I'll DD the TC, and buy another Mustang to trash, or just drive the one I have that has been sitting.

Gotta ask some price info from you guys. Looking for bar pricing here and what you consider to be a fair brand for each one.

Well mixed drink

Upper end mixed drink

Mid level shot

Top shelf shot

Draft beer

Bottle domestic

Bottle Import

Weekend cover charge

I would like quotes for a 'dive' bar, mid level, and if you visit them higher end bars.

The reason this is being asked is because of a business idea that has come up with family. We are seeing a niche that is not being utilized here, that people are willing to drive for, but would not have to if it was local.

I've paid $60 for a beer, $17, $12, and $10 and under. Beer being something real, ie no ultra mongo macro brew.

More as well. Really depends on the location.

Was trying avoid a matching grill as the mesh is close. I'd love to see a black one with the mesh black. Might look naked though.

Trying to avoid the specialty beers. Looking at staple beers for the average consumer, max 5 specialty beers. Run a 7-12 tap setup with a moderate bottled selection. By moderate I mean under 15.

In all the cities I cited above that wouldn't fly...

It's all relative to where you live. Go visit every extreme and see how busy they are on a Tuesday or what not.

Yep. Might buy a couple and spray them GM black. They'd basically dissapear then. Leave the grill as is. Obviously more of a perfect match would be better.

My favorite bar usually has a cover around $30-45 for a 2 hour window. For the band though...and don't eat there.

Current upcoming shows suck though

When I was out drinking typical beers I always paid attention to specials. In Beaumont I would pay the $2 before 10. $3-5 typically and $3-5 for a well drink. At a bar the $5+ range should be getting me to the "mid shelf" liqour like crown or jack.

I always hated covers but sometime you had to follow the ladies.

In my home town any night of the week you can get drunk for $5 if you don't tip.

Covers should only occur if there is entertainment and the entertainment draw alone should determine the price.

Doesn't mean for a short period of time you can break the curve, but keeping it is unusual.
