I would be that a really tuned up mk8 would be the best car in the world for me.

It fits Sean but wide enough for me, cheep to insure, comfy seats.

Basically a Lincoln Riviera but with a V8 right?

I have one big problem now. Ever since Sean posted the LS swap info, I have been dreaming about P cars.

They have the same displacement, but that's about all they share. Your Cougar has the SOHC 4.6 with iron block and NPI 2V heads. The Mark VIIIs, use the 4.6 DOHC with an aluminum block and 4V heads. Both cars share relatively the same chassis though. The MN-12 is slightly lengthened and tweaked a bit for the Mark VIII

Yeah I thought so, I know a lot of these cars share a lot.

I have one for sale.  It includes a spare engine, transmission, and rearend, along with a plethora of interior parts.  It's already geared, chipped, and has a shift kit, and includes a set of wheels with winter tires and brand new tires on the other wheels.

So I built a box for my buddy for some RE8s.  I used this stuff called Duratex to coat it.  It's supposed to be designed specifically for speaker enclosures.  I really like the stuff.  I think I'm going to have it tinted purple and do the Mark box in this stuff.

Any hope that the 2015 steering wheel will fit on the 2007-2014?

I don't actually care if the buttons "work", but I do want them to at least do whatever button press they were meant to on the on CAN.

***I do assume a CAN event that wasn't defined would just not do anything***

Sort of figure that'd have to be the case though.

Building a box for a car that you have for sale?

Why would you sell your Mk if you have all that?

Box is built, has been for a while.  I ALWAYS sell a car with better than stock in it.  You should know how non-existent the bass is in those things.  I got a bit of midbass in there, and a crappy sub to get rid of.  Shit lying around that can steer a buyer towards paying is a win win for me.

Dry rub (salt free) is prepped for tomorrow.

It ended up being 2 pieces (probably a 7-8 and a 12-13).

I decided to brine one (Alton Brown's method) and leave the other alone. I will rub them both down tomorrow AM and then come home around lunch to throw them on the egg. That will give them around 29.5 hours of available cook time and leave time for a nice long rest, 2 hours while we get our ass kicked in softball for our last 2 games.

Because the Town Car has spoiled me and I no longer want to drive it.   I did wish the TC had the power, feel, and sound of the Mark, but . . .    I like a nice quiet boat now.

Then again, I am in desperate need of something to thrash on.
