I can't get a pizza dough to slide off the peel. Ever.

Do you use cornmeal under your dough?

Not on the egg, that'll taste like shit as it burns up completely. Nearly catches the whole bottom on fire. Yep, thought I could do that once myself. Only takes one try.

I use it on my stone and it has never burnt, but I cook pizza around 600. I use flower on the counter when spreading the dough.

Maybe I need to go hotter to get it to burn?

600 isn't hot enough wink.png

Sweet spot is somewhere in the 800-900 range. Hotter than that and you get burn all over...and your gasket melts. biggrin.png

If you don't get a few nice black bubbles in your crust you are missing out. I can't achieve that in the oven and it is REALLY hard on the gas grill, but the egg...YUMMY!

So I've always been a Simplicity man, but the cheapest mower they have is $2300.  I really don't want to spend more than $1500 and used is just too much of a gamble for me at that price range.  Anyone have any experience with the lower lines of Cub Cadet?  They seem to be the only ones with a floating deck at that price level.

Today I was low on lump and used some hickory to get the pizza done. Next time the temp will be higher.

Typically the lower lines are made by mdt.

It's MTD built junk. Mid level and better Cub Cadet is good stuff, but anything MTD is just a throw away mower.

I suggest you spend a bit of money, as it can last a lifetime. My mower is 30 years old, and has never had and major work on it. It wasn't cheap, but it is extremely well optioned and well built.

FWIW it is a Wheelhorse Workhorse, one of the first true hydrostatic set ups.

That's why I wanted the Simplicity.  The previous two I had just lasted through so much abuse.

I have a $140 Lawn Boy or something. Had it nearly 15 years. Of course, for the past 7 it has taken my about 10min each time I mow and over the past 3 years it has maybe been a total of 15 times. Maybe.

ive had very bad experiences with cub cadet. they are great for a couple years but crap out pretty quick. the best mower ive had so far has been a SKAG 42 inch walk behind. I cant kill it no matter what I do. I even flipped it completely upside down trying to mow my ditch and it fired right back up. not to mention its really fun standing on the cart behind it. its like your on a chariot lol. if you want you can msg me about cub cadet and ill look through my paperwork to see exacty what models I had and the service record. also, my father in law has had a mower for about 10 years now from lowes. the red one. I cant remember the name at the moment.
