Hopefully I'll remember to take a picture of the picnic roast before I pull it. Crazy how taking pictures never crosses your mind.

I was hoping the skin would end up useful but I'm not seeing it happening.

Re-rolled the store with the trainees today. Good Lord.

They can sell some beds though. And they have absolutely 0 product knowledge.

:-)

World's greatest sales trainer.

I wrote the above because usually writing something ensures I won't forget. Not this time.

I did a smoked pernil. Pernil is a picnic roast with common Puerto Rican seasoning.

I got the egg started and put the meat on skin side up while it was smoking heavy, left it wide open until the egg got to 200. At that point I walked out side and all of a sudden the smoke stopped and the temp started rising QUICK. I closed down the bottom And top to almost nothing and it backed down and nailed 250*. It came.out delicious. The best was anything close to the skin. Mmmm

Yes, but it's still not what I want any longer.  It's low, rides rough, is noisy, and expensive to fix.  Damn it's fun and looks good though.  I think I am going to make someone a hell of a deal in the near future here.

Need anything else from the US?

Found it, I want to change my phone and the Motorola Moto G is $199 (16GB) on Motorola's online shop. It's $320 here, I don't need the box so I need to talk to you about paying it and getting it shipped to you.

Just let me know

I'm bone-dry this week but next week I'll have the cash flow. PM'ing you now :)

House is now gutted and need two more dumpsters, then the finish work begins!

After cleaning up unused stuff in my room (found some catalogs from 2005) I filled up the trunk of the Jeep.

I was done cleaning and driving the GF back home at around 1AM, then decided to change the oil in the Jeep and get the Miata A-pillars ready for fiberglass. A spirited drive home to heat up the oil, drop the oil, remove filter, let it drain and hit the other garage to position the mdf rings, cut and the wrap everything in fleece. Finished up in 2 hours, very productive night :D

Time for some Miata install pictures tonight :D

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/apr/05/pono-neil-young-24bit-192khz-review

Neil Young is a great musician. Well, I've enjoyed a few of his songs, and plenty of people have enjoyed lots more of them – enough to give him a decades-spanning career in the music business.

I'm not sure, though, that this quite qualifies him to tangle with mathematicians waving Nyquist-Shannon's theorem, who are lining up to tell him his Pono music player – which crashed through its $800,000 Kickstarter finance-raising target within a day of being announced – won't actually give people (14,600 backers pledging nearly $5m so far) the benefits they hope for.

Pono is the latest in a long line of attempts to give people "high-quality" recorded audio. It will be able to play music that has been digitised in 24-bit audio sampled at 192 kilohertz (kHz), rather than the 16-bit 44.1kHz audio that CDs use. If you remember the ill-fated DVD-audio and SACD discs of a decade ago, you'll know this song already. Barely anyone pays for such high-quality digital audio, because they can't hear the difference from the medium-quality variety.

the kickstarter is at $5.5m with 8 days left. ridiculous.

Got the offer. But damn it comes with some down sides. Two weeks of training, and training time only pays 8 an hr. After that its up to 12 an hr with ample room to advance. First step up only jumps up 1 dollar an hr, after that it is salary.

Plus side, it is solid employment after 90 days, they work with some big companies, and offers full benefits.

J

What about the other position?

No matter what I'd counter....

Countered back for more. Got told there is no room to negotiate the start price. If moved up to the salaried position is when they will talk.

J

Then it's a lie

Then walk eh?

My understanding is he wanted a player that was better than MP3. I sure as shit can tell an mp3 from a CD with my good headphones or my Martin Logan's. The Logan's are particularly cruel to production and compression.

They make some of my most nostalgic albums sound like flat shit because of it.

Just cruel cruel speakers.

The flip side is, some of those really well recorded albums have so much hidden content that they sound remastered compared to listening on junk speakers.

For all those who still work on TV's such as I do, this sight has most all parts that you will need to make repairs.

Just watch because some parts cost a little less than buying a new tv.
