Fuck Volkswagen. It took me ~25 hours to do a 20 hour job. 2004 1.8 Turbo Jetta, Turbocharger, Timing belt; cam and crank seals, valve cover gasket, Spark plugs, oil pan gasket, axle, axle seal, hub, bearing, PCV valve assembly, vent pipes, breather tube, air filter, oil change... The turbo paid 6.5 hours and took me 8.5. Just a total nightmare.

When my parents owned a transmission shop they tended to stray away from VW just due to the cost and time.

I never went to college what is the "quad" BTW.

Its a courtyard surrounded by many buildings, typically found on college campuses
Not where I went to school. It was a dorm room for 4.

Is snowing something fierce here. Started yesterday and isn't suppose to let up until at least Monday. They can't plow it off the roads quick enough.

I'm jealous as hell

How cheap would I have to get this bike to make it worth it? (CL ad didn't have pics).

The wifey REALLY wants a bike and I'm thinking if it fits her okay it would be a perfect "1st bike that your going to grow out of quickly anyways and sell to get a new one".

Need a link or a hint...

Very happy to say this house is sealed up to the attic. Had to turn the pellet stove down to 65 to make things nice and not so hot.

One of the apartments I had in college was pretty new, and I ended up just turning off the heat before going to bed, then turning it back on to 65F while I was out. Electricity bills were practically nonexistent during the winter months. laugh.png

Duh, you live in fucking Texas.

Same, but that's because a lot of colleges are designed the same way.

Yeah, but this was NORTH Texas, where you could sometimes, maybe, get ice and sleet! :lol2:

I have to move to a warmer, far less congested, far lower cost of living area. Sadly, that's Florida.

My house is for sale. Find that in Maryland.http://m.estately.com/listings/info/12619-riverhill-ct

Reminds me, BIL's dad got his wife a '13 Shelby Mustang for Christmas. Bonus: it didn't come with a set of winter tires. Double bonus: she can't drive stick. Should have gotten video of it. She was sliding and grinding the whole way down the street.

Wow, in my neighborhood that would be over $500k
In my area it would be probably million + here.
If it were 2 houses to the West of mine on that much land it'd be in the $2-3M range, but of course that is where the lake is. CA is stupid expensive and the people suck donkey dick. I fucking hate it.

*hears waves crash, looks out window and see's the ocean and Laguna Beach
