I was out there in '93 IIRC and there was a crazy ice storm.  cartman-unsure.gif

We had a blizard that year and got snowed in at regionals in Clarion PA. Then we only had 2 days to get ready for states in Hersey PA.

It was nucking futts. There were tree's down all over the place. Ice on EVERYTHING. Roads where crazy scary.

Yes it was. On the way home the bus would get stuck in the snow and we had to get out and push. Funny thing is we all made weight at states.

I was packpacking across country by myself at the time. I was lucky to make it on the tail end of the storm.

Yea I would say, is that something you did for fun or a goal?

At least here they are prepared for that kind of storm.

Not so much here with all the cuts that have been made.

They must be over funded here bc you see plow trucks throwing sparks sometimes. With the elevation changing so quick here some of the passes and canyons get closed.

PA had some big cut backs, mostly penndot labors.

We had that in '02.  Tornado came through last week of October '01.  Just about got most of the trees cleaned up, then a huge ice storm/blizzard hit Christmas week and carried on through New years.  The rest of the trees went down and no power for 8 days.  It was pretty bad, but we all had generators and fire places.

I want to apologize to anyone who ever sent me a PM and I didn't reply to it the moment I signed on after the PM was sent. Or, if I did not finish answering all PM's sent while I am online.

Don't worry Mark never answers any if his either.

I was being sarcastic. ;)

KDOT and MODOT have engineers running plow trucks for that same reason.

Colorado folks.  I will be in Pueblo next week for work out at the federal rail test facility, TTCI, anywhere to stay away from for hotels or any good places to stay at?

Neither of my cars will start.  Brough the batt in out of the Mark, threw it on the tender and placed it in front of the register.  Just hoping my fuel line isn't forzen.  I couldn't hear the fuel pump prime.

It's Pueblo, might as well be Mexico. Which means EAT MEXICAN food.

Didn't even think of that.  One of the guys here is Mexican and took me to a joint that is a kitchen on the side of a store with a couple of old Mexican women cooking, holy crap was that good.  Nothing like the normal 'Mexican' food.

Was all for fun, I have thumbed through quite a few states. I would say most of them west of the Mississippi and a few more to the east. I have always love to travel for the culture experience and was only 15 at the time btw. Thus the name. :)

Being we are in the top three places that Latinos migrate to there is some good authentic mexican restaurants here. Most of the Americanized style mexican restaurants are long gone. Oddly I have had some pretty bad American style mexi food closer to Mexico.

The wifey has some wicked good pizza dough she makes from scratch. I love the wood fired pizza so could only imagine how yummy one would be in a smoker.

Us egg people stoke to 800-1000f and even higher just to loose our arm hair for this delicious slice.
