Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Recommended Posts

The whole thing is 1992 technology. I expect the next gen to be better but to probably forego the V8 which will kick it out of the running.

The current V8 is a dog anyways, much more impressed with the Denali or escalade. The Lincoln people at the NAIA show told me the navigator is being redesigned for 2015

Good old shareholders. The 5.4 4 valve was a monster when built. They cut corners and did away with the 4valve and went to the 3valve, and yes, it was a dog. A choked one at that. Look for a Coyote variant coming soon.

Might be snatching up 3 little US Acoustics amps, for no good reason.

Are they red? I've gotten a few US acoustics amps from that guy wink.png. great deal.

Grey with the red stripe.

Coyote would be sweet.

Here is a rendering of what I think a Caddy dash would look like if I owned one.

I'd rather buy the Lincoln, but I am not driving around in that.

I like that interior.

Seriously?

Yeah. We diverge greatly here. I would rather see brown wood and leather. I don't like blonde interiors usually, but I like that.

I also think the exterior is gorgeous. The sexiest exterior in big American SUVs to me.

I don't know about the suspension or the engine, but it would be fuck loads better than my expedition. I didn't know it was air ride though... So maybe I wouldn't like it so much.

Ford leaves too much on the table with their motors.

Navigator with forged rotating assembly and a blower with a tablet solution like you plan to use would be just about perfect for me as a replacement for the expy.

My 1995 F150 handled better.

And I am getting a black interior, pictures just highlight differences better in lighter colors...

I have however really really fallen in love with the x5M.

Maybe more than the chili pepper.

That's unfortunate. Such a pretty truck.
And therein lies the problem exactly. It IS a pickup truck and not a sport utility. Even worse that the new pickups are nicer on the inside. Huge blemish in their line IMO. To be fair though it is really a 1998. I realize they have had two model changes since, but they were just a bit cosmetic and not game changers.

That and where is the short wheel base version, that long ass bugs the fuck out of me.

Just need someone to hack the Raspberry PI to run off battery with a 2 second resume and I'm golden. *hopes*

It is a pickup for sure. Probably why I like it, just throw mountains of shit in it and go.

I think I'm changing over time. I used to only car about performance. Hence my sport bike love. Then I started to like off road vehicles. I would take the expy for some urban offroading and it was fun.

So I have wanted a pickup for the shit days and a race car for nice days......

Now I feel lazy and just want a comfortable car that is exciting to drive. That's it. Fun to drive and comfortable.

Well, its official. I bought a seriously bad ass car that has a shit ton in mods (over $25k) and only 5k miles on it. Super excited right now and can't wait to pick it up from the Houston TX area.

The architecture doesn't support any standby / hibernation / resume mode. It's either on or off.

Boot time is going to depend on the distribution and sd card class. The latest firmware update has an option "hard float ABI" which will help with boot speed. Turning off system logging would help also.

As an estimate boot speed is going to be around 10 - 40 seconds. People seem to be getting the lower boot times ~10 seconds with Arch.

Perhaps you could wire some relay so when you unlock the car it starts booting, and shuts off when you lock the car.
