And for what it's worth I crash a lot. Not to sound corny, but I'm always pushing my boundaries and that's how I've become a better and faster rider. It's also the reason why I probably won't ever own a street bike.

Or to get hit with an invisible wire some fucker strung across his ditch to snag sledders. One of my old coworkers got caught by an unflagged wire on some farmers property. Dialed 911 but couldn't breathe much less talk, raced the 15 min home(thank god he was close) somehow, collapsed in the driveway. EMS was able to intubate in time. He cannot laugh properly, talk properly, and lost 30 pounds from not being able to oxygenate his muscles properly.

Yup. Just outside big lake area. Farmer was fined a little bit. Nothing worth the damage the guy had. He was already a runt too. He was seriously feebled for life from it. Until they come up with fake throats, he is basically fucked with a narrow tube.

Sean, I want you to know that the Steelcase leap is just about the best chair I have ever been in when it comes to office/task chairs. It's been a few months now, and while I could definately have the higher piston due to my absurd desk height, this chair is awesome.

Worth a test, especially considering it is the cheepest I tried. The humanscale would be a close second, but it doesn't have a lock in any position. It looks better, and has a sweet system, but I'm so disproportionately heavy, it leans back too much for me.

You are also going to chastise me. I tried that dryel stuff again.

I am pretty impressed with it's "cleaning" abilities. Working 6 days a week had made it impossible to get to the cleaners, and I am down to one pair of wools as I sent the rest in for tailoring.

I know it isn't ideal, but in a pinch it seems to work.

As for the bike advice I know 4 people who were hospitalized from dirt bike fuck ups. None who did it on street bikes.

I also started with a race bike and couldn't have made a better choice. If I could go back, I might have purchased used not new though.

That said I did flip it when a new "friend" I made did a stoppie across the path I was riding. This was within the first year of ownership.

 

This is among the first opinions I hear pro-race bike as a beginner bike. Everybody says start out small etc etc. 

Don't get me wrong, it just makes me curious as to how you can handle all risks of a race bike.

Can't figure out the WiFi on my cyberQ. I hear that the iPhone is very simple, the droid not so much.

 

IMO droids are easier than an iPhone to access wifi . But honestly both are fairly simple.

I was lucky enough to get caught by two fence wires. One we were sled riding and did not realize we were going under the fence and took that bitch in the face. It was cold enough that it broke and I ended up with a large cut. The second one was across the chest riding fourwheelers. Lifted my ass off the fourwheeler and dropped be like a sack. That left a long term damage, but was lucky to be wearing heavy coveralls. SO I figure the third time is going to be the one that gets me.

That being said, my buddy nearly fucked himself up running into a barb wire fence. But he was where he wasn't supposed to be. I leave the beaten path, but only if I really know where or there are tracks.

Once you get your wools "wet" you have permanently fucked them for life. There is no way they will ever iron out again.

The real deal is to start cheap. You WILL lay it down. *knocks on wood since I haven't* Starter bikes are that and light. Also a bit more idiot proof on the happy twist, but that isn't really a deal to me if you have any sort of driving aptitude.

I wouldn't recommend it as a first bike. But I was able to ride a cruiser and a sports bike. The cruiser didn't stop when I wanted to on a ride and I almost ended up in an intersection where a big sedan went through the a red light.

Sports bikes come in all power levels, just like cars. The suspension, braking, ride style is all independent of the top speed and acceleration. You can even get a bike that is less than 250 but set up for race style.

Finally, if someone is going to ride on streets with cars, riding on dirt with no-one around you is going to make you learn things that do not apply to pavement. Especially if someone eventually wants to ride a road bike. A dirt bike will teach you horrible muscle memory.

Why would a phone setting be harder or easier?

iPhone uses adhoc to sync with the cyberQ. Apparently its that simple. Droid uses another method. Even the guru website says its not easy to set up on droid. My boss has an iPhone. He just went to his available WiFi listings and the cyberQ was there to hook into. That doesn't happen with droid.

iPhone uses adhoc to sync with the cyberQ. Apparently its that simple. Droid uses another method. Even the guru website says its not easy to set up on droid. My boss has an iPhone. He just went to his available WiFi listings and the cyberQ was there to hook into. That doesn't happen with droid.

This has always been the case with Apple. Even the late 90's on the Mac desktops when hooking up accessories like mics and printers, there was no need for loading drivers like a PC. All you did was screw on the cable and it worked.

Don't know about droid but with my iPhone if I'm listening to pandora or I heart through Bluetooth and leave the car the apps automatically shut down and come back on when I re enter the vehicle.
