If your not moving you should buy a bed from me. I was ask by my boss if I got bumped in the head for how cheep I was slangin 'em.

Ha, will it really help that much? I am interested but know jack shit about beds.

*goes to look at what we have

If you wake up in pain, a new bed will probably help.

I was more saying that at these prices, you would be dumb not to buy.

;)

Bummer. Their consumer Plasmas are really among the best out there right now. The only other plasma I would consider is a Sammy, since Pioneer stopped making their own. I believe LG is making the Pio/Elites at this point.

Cool technology, but the prices have to come way down. I was in the market for plasmas way back when they were $12-15K, had to be recharged every few years and professionally installed. I was set on an Elite, but walked into the store and saw the still screen of a fading black background. The separation was fucking horrible. So I bought an Elite RPTV for ~$6K. FF several years to my convergence module in the RPTV taking a shit and I bought a seriously nice Series 5 53" Sammy plasma for $4K. Now you can buy a kick ass 65" Sammy smart plasma for considerably less. Fuck progress...

Heads up for C4 Extreme and/or Animal Stak users

This latest study comes to us from the United States Military and their department of pathology. Six cases of cholestatic liver injury were observed at the Naval Medical Center at San Diego. Dietary supplements were considered probable as the root cause for three, probable for one, and possible for another. The attending physicians had seen cases associeted with four of the dietary supplements involved. However, they also noted that two supplements, C4 Extreme and Animal Stak, although implicated in the current work, had not been previously linked to hepatoxicity.

Cholestatic Liver Injury Associated With Dietary Supplements: A Report of Five Cases in Active Duty Service Members.

Peterson BR, Deroche TC, Huber AR, Shields WW.

Source    Department of Anatomic Pathology, Naval Medical Center San Diego, 34800 Bob Wilson Drive, San Diego, CA 92134-5000.

    Abstract

The use of dietary supplements (DS) is common in the active duty population, often without physician knowledge or approval. DS have been associated with drug-induced liver injury, with rare cases resulting in liver failure or death. We report five cases of transient drug-induced liver injury temporally associated with the use of a total of six DS in active duty service members. All patients presented with elevated serum bilirubin and liver-associated enzymes: three patients had a cholestatic liver enzyme pattern, one had a hepatocellular pattern, and one had a mixed pattern. In all cases, percutaneous needle core biopsies of the liver were obtained and demonstrated a cholestatic pattern of injury with variable periportal fibrosis. Causality was considered highly probable for three cases, probable for one case, and possible for one case. Hepatotoxicity has been previously associated with four of the supplements in our cases. For the two remaining supplements, C4 Extreme and Animal Stak, we are unaware of any previous reports of hepatotoxicity. Health care professionals, in particular military physicians, should be aware of the potential risk of these supplements and be prepared to discuss these risks with their patients.

That was a HUGE joke btw. Seeing what you can get for $800 or less I don't really see spending more. Where the next step up doubles, I'm out.

So I'm interested in getting a bike.. I was wanting to start off with an FZR6, I've been reading a lot and evidently it is a great starter bike. Essentially a detuned R6..

Unless there is a really strong financial reason I would skip anything that isn't an R6.

My first bike was and is a CBR 954. It is nearly perfect.

It all depends on why you want a bike though. If you want to have fun, buy a sports bike. If you want a commuter, buy one. You can make an R6 more commuter friendly but making a commuter bike handle better is a god damn bitch.

Yeah everyone I've spoken to has been for or against a beginner getting a 600cc bike.. I would really prefer an R6 but not sure.

The real trick AS ALWAYS is to buy something you can sell later for the same dough. Fuck any other advice. Bikes are like comfy shoes. If you've never had a pair you don't give a shit about some. Get your first and you realize everything wrong with anything else and rapidly look for a second. You will want a change no matter what you buy. When you buy wrong you can no longer afford to and give up on the process.

I usually buy a snowmobile keep it for 2 years and sell it for more than I paid for it even though it has a couple thousand more miles. My worst move was a $400 loss after riding over 5000 miles on one. I've set myself up to fail on my last though. Just dropped some dough on upgrade parts that I'll have to part back out to minimize the $$ loss, but I plan on keeping this one a lot longer. Will become the backup sled at some point.

Quoted for truth. I bought wrong on my first bicycle (same concept) Now it may be possible for me to sell at around 50% and buy something lower than the 50% that will better suit my needs.

You need quality of life. An adjustable base helps with snoring. Not as much as a CPAP but it helps.

I'm also just trying to push shit this month because of extra incentives for me and customers.

I need to buy a new rear caliper for the Miata, unless I can find the damn handbrake return spring. PO said the handbrake sticks, no wonder it does with a missing return spring. And until I fix this, I can't register it as it won't pass inspection with a half-functional handbrake.

Did I miss what they said thought was the cause from those products? They are really different products so a correlation is odd...

Anyway... It can't have anything to do with the extreme binge drinking in the military helping out could it?

Julian if you're serious about getting a street bike I highly suggest you get a dirt bike first and/or get some riding lessons and track time in. I'd consider it an investment in keeping yourself  alive.

It's easy to ride a bike, but having the skill-set to avoid others' fuck-ups in traffic is another story.
