I was sick of digging through wrenches for years on the garage table. Dad never wanted a support, until one day I got pissed and built one. Best decision ever, I can actually get work done instead of digging through wrenches. Same story with sockets.

Everytime I see hipster eyeglasses I want to punch their face sooo bad it's unreal. And some even wear them with clear lenses. If I wore such glasses years ago I'd get bullied. Now everybody thinks they old, thick, ugly frames are cool.

2012 Camry. The blend door broke; the one that controls airflow between the heater core and evaporator. The door is internal to the damper servo box, which is mounted to the crash bar under the dash from the backside. The bar has to be lifted up, the box needs to be felt up from behind and the screws removed to take the assembly out of the car. Then the box gets dismantled on a bench even further.

 

 

Not uncommon. So many dashes are made of cheap plastic that we do a ton of blend and mode doors that have snapped in the case. Some will even tear up the fuckin' case. FWIW I am referring to cars bought within the last 5 years.

Why not just use stronger springs?

That's my problem.....I don't know what force I need to be able to hold up the trunk lid but isn't so strong that closing the trunk is difficult or that whips the trunk open.

Clearly 2x 60lb gas spring wasn't enough. I could easily step to 2x 120lb or anywhere in between, but I want to get "enough" with going overboard on force and have it so strong my wife can't close the trunk.
