Welcome to the IHoP v.2

The reason DSLR and to a lesser extent, full frame, is still even around is because the format is both easier to learn on, and easier to use.

I don't agree. Has NOTHING to do with it. They are around because they are the only mechanism that allows real glass to be mounted on. The megapixel wars in cameras are retarded since most of the lenses on the front can't resolve even a portion of what the sensor can.

As soon as we defy Physics and make lenses that resolve better and are smaller the SLR will start to disappear.

The other huge advantage of an SLR is noise performance. Exactly where a FF beats a crop although this advantage is short lived and will at some point be moot. The glass on the other hand won't be.

My take is to buy a lens you will have later in life and a used camera body. Of course ease of use and P&S are about the same, but the results won't be.

Hmmmmm. Why aren't mirrorless more popular?

Just because of legacy?

I don't buy it because they could make the lens mount on mirrorless match the DSLR lenses.

I still say a P&S will be more than sufficient for the W's needs.  I've got a Sony HX9 that works great, think the HX10v is out now.  No point in dropping money on a camera if it ends up staying at home because its to big to carry and you use your phone.

And as always, its the indian, not the arrow.

Agreed. I like to have simplicity in some cases, ease of carry can be a factor, and concealment is a necessity in some cases. Walk into the Sistine Chapel with a big DSLR and see how long you can snap the ceiling before the guards tackle you. I got ~ 50 shots in there with my Nikon S9300 with no fanfare. My 9300 fits in my pants pocket with my smokes and lighter. Show me a DSLR that can do that.

She sells superchargers and knows quite a bit about them. If you are interested I'll get you in touch with her personally.

I have no doubt that a lot of crossfitters are fit and strong, but I don't see the point in their disregard for form. They'd be safer from injury and could do awesome shit at the end of the day. trippy.gif
