I just installed a hifonics Zeus zrx3000.1d. I was wondering if a 4 gauge big 3 upgrade would help with the light dimming and give the amp more consistent power? Any ideas? If so, I saw on knukonCeptz.com that they had 4 gauge wire for 95 cents per foot.

the big 3 is required when running that much power. though it might not be enough on its own to stop dimming (voltage drop). that would depend on the music your listening to and other factors.

you would want to use 0 gauge. i'm not sure where the best deals are but a favorite has always been welding cable (copper is copper).

the stuff from knukonceptz that you were looking at is CCA (copper clad aluminium). they also sell OFC copper cable which is more expensive. i would recommend ofc copper like the welding cable im listing below.

ya it pretty flexible. get some string and measure out the length of the wire you will need. give your self a little extra for slack
