All i can say is WOW... just wow. im a believer Jim, ima believer.

the music got louder, more detailed, and most importantly it doesnt clip! i have to listen to all my music again :) tubes forever. i cant believe im only getting around 100w from this amp...

but one thing is wierd...sometimes when i change tracks, the amp doesnt kick on... gotta wait a few seconds, and it comes on. i dont know whats up with that.

My amp only does the delay on fire-up. (TU-4360) Count to 15 and shes running and will do so unless you allow her to cool off.

I love the sound on certain types of music, but it doesnt sound great, IMO, on ALL, types....which is what i listen to...all types.

I listen to alot of music stupidly loud and at high volume the distortion tubes add to the music only gets accentuated at these volumes.

Im no audiofile, the 4300x stays, and the tube will be sold, not to be bought again.......well until i grow up anyway.

Yeah.. I don't know how I feel about using them in Car Audio. I have no problem using them in the pro audio/recording relm... but they are VERY senstive. I don't see how using them in a car is very smart. Especially when the constant vibration will change how they sound.

They work stellar in my climate! Sexy though.

If you want to upgrade it at some point in the future, maybe worth your time to upgrade the tubes to new old stock versions, usually a little closer in tolerances, resistant to microphonics (rattling) and better breakup characteristics at high volumes.

I think those are 12AU7s or 12AX7s...can't remember with those amps. Regardless, you can find NOS versions for pretty cheap.

Yes.

Those are wire nuts.

That amp has just wires coming out, no terminals or anything. And its super small !

The tubes were very very dim

I had to cup my hands around them to see if they were even on.

I loved Bimma85's reply over on CA.com in the same thread...

"Who's JimJ?"

Just the person you have listed twice in your references, asshat :)
