My First "Real" Jeep Build

Its been raining a lot in NY Lately and I work at festivals that mainly have grass parking so I've been seeing a lot of vehicles getting stuck lately. Jeeps come with absolutely 0 Tow points so I decided to throw a hitch on.

Also went half and half on that popup camper with my dad, have to do a few repairs to the canvas before its ready to be used though.

Decided I wanted a doubledin touchscreen, Jeeps comes stock with 1.5 Dins so it required some cutting.

 

I gotta sand the panel down some more, then do some fiber glassing. I'm not shooting for perfection but I wont settle for how it looks now.

Mounted my amps today, should be building my sealed enclosure tomorrow, wanna stop at a fabric place and find something to wrap my amp rack in.

I don't have an insane amount of playtime on it yet but so far I like the single X better then the OAs, definitely sounds louder and clearer then the Obsidians but I haven't had a chance to get it on the meter yet. Has a lot better lows as expected, and the high end bass isn't too bad on it compared to what people make it out to be.

Still having fun and loving my X18 moves a decent amount of air, thinking next week I'm gonna build a new enclosure with a slot port.

Current box is a 5 CuFt birch enclosure with a 8" Aero port firing towards the drivers side tuned to 30 hz

Been a real long time since I've posted on here, Recently sold the Sundown X 18 And picked up a pair of HDS210's from the SSA Store

 

 

Threw them in an old Prefab sealed box for the time being until I get off my ass and build an enclosure. Still using the Hifonics ZRS2000.1 wired at 4 Ohms right now.

 

I Haven't really had much time to play around and listen to them yet but so far they add a nice punch to my music.
