The fact that it's a 4ohm driver makes me happy. And the sewn in tinsle leads are a nice touch.

How about if I told you the integrated tinsel leads are a farse and they are are more fragile than a standard arrangement? Nothing more than a misconception used as a selling point.

I would be interested in it once there is some feedback, but I am nervous about buying the first model from a company.

I would say that I concur, and have known that for quite some time. ;)

Maybe it's just me, but i'm really not all that impressed with it??? I love the magnet system, but the specs aren't all that great for me. There seems to be a lot of hype and yea the guy seems to be very cool and trustworthy, but i think the sub was made to suit a small percentage of ppl. His tweet is something i'm uber interested in though

If I were doing an IB install I would be more prone to looking at it, can't really do that in my truck though.

I did buy my SEAS from NP, they are actually the set from his "how to deaden your doors" tutorial. Super nice guy to work with and helped me out with questions as well. Seems pretty educated and crafty with his testing and I like a lot of the design parameters including the $150 price tag but again without a review it is tough. Same thing sort of killed Brad's IB sub which also would have been neat. Oh well, time to wait and see.

Not really sure what you mean by that. Decently low Q, decently low Fs (which is what a lot of SQ people prefer), good inductance and a pretty flat and symmetrical BL for only being a standard overhung design. Low sensitivity, but he wanted a small enclosure design. Pretty good linear excursion capabilities aswell. Sleeved motor which should help with distortion aswell. For $150 it's a hell of a subwoofer. Even at $220, which it will be at after the presale, it'll still more than compete with everything in it's price range. It should give the Rl-p, for example, a run for it's money.

Impedance always spikes at the resonant frequency like that ;)

Nothing unusual or out of the ordinary about that at all.
