Various Installation Tools - An ongoing thread

Recommended Posts

Hello all! I have been working on a video playlist on youtube where I discuss different car audio tools. Rather than make a different thread for each tool I will be using this thread to constantly update my tool reviews.

Week 1: Bojo Installer Trim Removal Tools

Week 2: Self Adjusting Wire Strippers

Week 2: Self Adjusting Wire Strippers

So I assume that was a negative review. Not very fast nor effective. Too bad as I love the idea.

Figures. I just thought the review was funny. Hey, these are great! They don't work on this or this or this or this and when I'm fast, I'm actually slow. Sweet, buy them!! Must be made by Kevin. Err, wait they almost worked so perhaps not.

These are the best strippers ever built. The below pair are over 10 years old with 5 years worth of 40 hour work weeks doing 10-20 headunit installs a day.

I'll look when I get home. I think they are Tool Aid.

This thing is nice!

Would this work for wood? or only sheet metal? Just would not want to keep making holes in MDF when mounting to baffles during testing....

WIll not work on wood. You need threaded inserts, hurricane nuts, or t-nuts for that.

Those strippers are knock offs. Not the same as tool aid.

Exactly! The rivets only work on thin material, the tool actually comes with a little chart that shows what thickness you can use for each particular size.
