Marine Battery???

Recommended Posts

Are they ok to use as a primary and secondary??? I can get a great deal on 2 blue top Optima Battery's. I want to use one under the hood (for the truck), and a second one inside (for the system).

Yep, marine applications really are similar as some of those trolling motors can really suck down the juice. If you are gettin' a good deal go for it, any marine store should have the conversion for the battery terminals even though I like the marine ones better.

They don't have regular posts, instead, they have a bolt/nut arrangement.

The nut is usually a wing style that you can screw on by hand. The big advantage of course is it is super easy to attach extra stuff to them. If you are ghetto you won't even need a terminal block.

most blue's have regular (olde style) top mount terminals with the wing nut terminals attached. ult-9006-006_w.jpg

so as long as you can use top mount, u'll need the side post to top mount adapters, u'll be fine...

and liek everyone has stated..

DO IT!!!!

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:
