RF Pro Audio Mids

Recommended Posts

Through my same type of goals I found that the PA 6.5's in my stock locations work well, I also tried my FT1's in different locations before deciding that they sounded best in the doors right beside the mid. The higher I tried them the more I had to turn them down in order to not overpower the mids. So it you are mounting in pillar I suggest against bullets. But nobody will ultimately be able to tell what sounds best to you until you start experimenting

Mine are also off axis in the door. I will possibly be putting the mids on axis to see how they sound.

yeah, but it can't be as technical as your making it though. the sub stage is gonna be HUGE and i just want something loud and clear. imaging and everything else is out the window. a pair of 6.5's in each door and not quite sure what i want to do witht the tweets

Technical? Are you kidding? I only asked you for the parameters of the install. You can't shop for subs without a box, this is exactly the same. The only thing that is making this difficult is an OP that is too stubborn to actually post helpful information so that we can point you in the right direction.

From your goals earlier a pair of 6.5's and some tweets won't fill them, not even close. If you are too lazy to spend some time helping us help you there isn't much we can do.

"SQ" and "loud" aren't mutually exclusive. Doing certain things that lead to good sound quality also lead to improvements in output over the entire bandwidth. Just because sound quality isn't a top priority doesn't mean you can ignore the basic tenants of acoustics and still achieve your goal.

So far the amount of technical discussion in this thread is roughly equivalent to asking someone how much space they have and desired goals when selecting a subwoofer. I'm sure you thought about that before selecting your substage......not sure why it's difficult to do the same for the front stage. For some reason you presume when considering a front stage it's acceptable to arbitrarily decide on drivers without many other considerations and expect to achieve your goals.
