Lost in this world

Recommended Posts

I been wondering about a couple of things that have heard. I been seeing video's of ppl running multiple runs of 0ga and was wondering what it is all for.

OVERkill. plus, it looks cool

seriously, there is resistence in everything, so, some people just want to decrease that as much as possible, which is the reasoning for the overkill.

If audio is your life and that is a serious question then well..................

Every size gauge wire is only rated up to a certain power point, above those levels you need more. Pretty simple and audio is "not" my life

Its about maintaining voltage, not for amperage.

Dc voltage is critical when power supply ranges usually only go from 10-16v

And we only run in the 14v range to begin with.

ill try to put it as "simple" as i can,

if you have a car, with a power wire ran, so this.. .get a volt meter, set it to DC voltage, and check the voltage up from at the battery,. then take your multi meter and check your voltage at the end of your run, as it goes into the amp....

example, up front it maybe 12.6 with the car off , but the in the back it will be 12.1 or something, thats because of resistance,

when your chasing numbers, every little bit counts, so by running multibale runs of wire you are doing two things, lessing the resistance, and also adding a better current route,

another example, say you just ate a jalapeno and you grab your drink to sooth your burning mouth,

picture, trying to drink thru one of those little coffee stir stick straws,..... .and then image drinking thru a McDonalds straw, they are huge! the drink flows fast and free.. while with the small little coffee straw its hard and restrictive,

i want my power strong and fast. not slow and lazy. in burps you use LOOOADDDSS of power very quickly, pulling a 1000 amps or more in a matter of seconds.

Super Simple. Big Amps, lots 'o power, lots 'o wire needed to supply amps.

I thought you were having an existential crisis from the thread title, I'm glad this was a simpler question.
