sundown sa8 v2 thoughts?

hey guys, im just curious to know everyones thoughts on the sundown sa8 v2s. pros and cons of the sub and does anyone know if there is a sa10 v2 in the making?

Sa 8 = a bad ass 8 inch driver, but Lantz why are you looking at an 8? The rest of the Sa series V2 is most likely going to be a while.

They are "sick" if you are limited on space. If you aren't I don't understand all of the hype.

sold my bl 15 and picked up an sa8 v2 about a week ago, running it off a sundown sae 1200D @ 2 ohms, i found a box design on another forum and built it.

first impression i wasnt blown away but after break in i turned the gain up to about 3/4 and i am now very happy with it,

it gets low and loud for being a single 8. great sub!

honestly this sub is just my beater until i get something bigger so i just dropped it in my trunk and wired it, i not worried about blowing it or anyhting. stupid, i know..

you turned the gain up to 3/4? if you have a hot pre amp 4-5V then your sending a 100% clipped signal to that sub which in return will blow the sub so i hope you really don't care about blowing it, but doing it stupidly is even dumber. you can't make up for power or cone area by turning the gain up, the gain is not a volume knob.
