*Swift's Rebuild* 3 SP4 18's, 12k Walled F250

I forgot to ask. Do you notice your coils still getting warm quickly or was that because of the wiring?

The logo idea sounds cool. There was a guy in Washington I think that did custom vinyl printing. If you can't find anyone local I'll see if i can dig it up.

They dont get warm unless I demo the shit out of it full tilt for a few minutes. But the way it is now it gets extremely loud just riding at half volume. No need to open it up unless demoing to someone. It does draw alot more voltage running at .5 ohm. I need at least 2 more big batteries I think.

Thanks, curious how it will sound on double power. Gonna have some numbers next week once the meter gets here. I don't expect it to meter as high as the SPL guys but hope I hit my goals between 30-35hz range.

Well with no real testing just hooking up the Meter and putting in a song I felt was loud.

Results (meter on Dash pass door open, same numbers in kick too)

155.3 on music around 39hz if I remember right. song called "Burr Burr" by Gucci

Playing around with tones with low batteries.

155@44hz

154.75@39hz

153.5@35hz

152.10 @30hz

152 @29hz on a Phil Collins song "In the air tonight"

With only the single amp and with some voltage drop (deep down into low 12's)) I am very happy. With a second 5500 and another 4 batteries 57's on music may be attainable. Remember I am tuned at 31hz :)

Thanks man, I am very happy so far. If you see in the first post I meet and past my goals with just this single amp.

Its stupid loud. I will post some low hz numbers vids and pics later. It may have more in it as again Im not 100% sure where the true peak is and will charge batteries overnight. I bet it has a 54@ 35hz in it

Just something for you to try-

When you are completely sealed up, a vehicle will peak lower.

IE-

Vehicle may peak at 39hz sealed but 46Hz with door open.

So, just for kicks, when measuring below 40hz, try with door open and with everything closed and sealed and see if any frequencies below 40hz actually get louder on the meter sealed or not.

Also, it would be wise to test which side of the vehicle you are loudest at too. Use same test tone and volume when doing so.

Impressive is the only word that comes to mind

I would wait for them to be 100% broken in. My peak dropped from 55hz to 38hz within a few weeks and I actually got louder on the meter.

Lol,

I have video and pics I will post. Charged the batteries and played around some. All my numbers were generated from music. Didn't play any tones. Did a 151.3 @ 27hz on a slowed version of "in the air". Also did a154.7 @ 34 hz on some other song.

The 156.7 was on that song "get out" , gets it down low to 151's at 26hz

      1. Product: 2 Fi SP4 18s with Carbon Fiber Dust Caps
      2. Specs: Both are dual 1 ohm (0.7 ohm)
      3. Description/Condition: Ran them for a little under a year on low power (Audioque 2200). Magnets have some scratches but the surrounds, baskets, spiders, and coils are in excellent condition. Does not include the original gaskets. A couple of the pictures are next to a 10" Kicker "Competition" (lol) for size comparison.
I threw out the original boxes some time ago, but Fi was nice enough to send me two brand new boxes to ship them in. So these will ship in original Fi packaging.
      7/10 Cosmetically
      10/10 Mechanically
      4. Price: Asking $900 SHIPPED OBO for the pair. Because they are dual 1 ohm, I would like to keep them as a pair. NO TRADES, just trying to get rid of all my stuff.
I'm located in Huntsville, AL 35810. Would be willing to drive to meet someone within reason.

This sub has been nothing but great to me. Can't say enough about it. Sadly I have just sold my amp and made a bunch of space in my trunk for a lot more business. ( (2) 12"s )
This 12" can do it all..handled my MMATS m3000.1 with ease, hit the lows, and was great for a daily woofer.
Has always been on a good supporting electrical cast. I am pulling the sub tomorrow because I'll be pulling my amp as well. Can take more pictures for people with more interest then.
Recone has a date of 9/xx/14 and actually didn't use it for about 4 weeks it was installed because I had to wait on a warranty claim on a battery.
There is a bit of a glue splotch on the top plate, but no biggie, just CA. bottom of motor looks mint.
Minimal chips in ferrite. Included is the motor boot and 12" gasket.

      275$ plus shipping
