component name?

Recommended Posts

okay, this is going to be a shot in the dark.a guy came up from Louisville, to a local car audio competition here in Evansville. He was in the sound quality portion. he drives a mitsubishi montero. he said he owns a shop down in louisville. anyway, he let me listen to use front of components and I was extremely amazed at how well they sound. he said they were made by guy in georgia. he told me their name, but I can't remember for the life of me what it was. I believe it was audio something. I know this is an extreme shot in the dark but, can anyone help me figure out what these are? they hadreally nice midbass, they sounded amazing. I got here frank sinatra song, and then a light drum solo and I almost thought the drums were there with me it sounded so good. I'm sure the panasonic tube radio he had in dash from japan didn't hurt either. does anyone have a clue? How about you Shizzzon?

My guess would be Hybrid Audio Technologies. HAT is owned by Scott Buwalda. Scott lives in (and hence HAT is headquartered in) Georgia.

Headunit was a Panasonic "Bottlehead". They did make a US version of the headunit, although they are much more rare than the Japanese version. The tube is more looks than anything, it's barely in the audio path.
