I failed.

Recommended Posts

Here is the little back story.. I bought my car off my dad, who previously installed some aftermarket audio system. I decided i wanted to upgrade the components and he said that he has Infinity Reference 5.25" components in there already so I decided to go with the Bravox CS50k (5.25") component set for ease of install. Today, I go to install the Bravox's and notice that the Infinity's are indeed 6.5". So now iv payed $150 dollars for a downgrade in size.. Great.

Well yes, im going to need to do that.. Im just worried about the lack of midbass the 5.25" are going to have compared to the 6.5" iv been listening to for 3 years..

Just because the speaker is smaller doesn't mean it'll have less midbass. Install it and see what you think afterward rather than getting grumpy about it before you've even listened to them.

the 5.25s may just not play quite as low. play around with raising the sub xover up a little higher.
