Large Class AB's

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if US will be making anymore really large ab's like the 6000x etc or what happend to the ones they had left I always wanted to play with one. Anyways back on topic the only reason I ask is because 1 I love Ab's even if they do pull amps like crazy, and 2 because I also like soundsplinters LMT's but since they are 4ohm your pretty limited and most big ab's make power at either 4 or 2 ohms.

well.... with the MLT technology, you can custom order a freakin AX100000000000000000000 all under one heat sink lol, that is if you have the moola ;) (you see that 6-ft tall heatsink? yea its possible)

however for right now, the biggest retail a/b amp available is the AX2000 (2000+w@4 ohms)

So what type of deal are we talking will they do the 6' heat sink with 3 or 4 boards under it that would be pretty sweet to get 3 2000 (or their new varient) then do three rows of them in the bed of the s-10 I just picked up if I get the new job I'm after I may have to bother you about this idea. :)

So if u needed a 3000Wrms AX AMP they would just put 3 AX1000 boards under one heat sink? would that be at a better price then just buying 3 AX1000 amps?

who knows? lol it will probably be more expensive due to the longer heatsink special order.... never had an order like that before :)

for 3kwatts, I think you can probably get away with a pair of 1000's, 3 of them would be closer to 4k watts if I am guessing right
