Shielding HT drivers

Recommended Posts

I want to put my 10o in the room for HT use.....but the spot i have picked out for it it a lil close to the tv....and putting the sub there doesn't create a lot of friendship between the two...is there any way to shield the enclosure/driver so i can use it there....?

i can always relocate it....i'm just asking cause i really like how it looks there

Parts Express sells bucking magnets, though I don't know if they sell one large enough for a 10" driver...

They don't. Look in the phone book. There was a place in Bremen I was going to pick some stuff up from. It's basically thin sheets of shielding. I was going to glue them to the inside on the enclosure, but I have no idea what the name of the place was. All I remember is that it is in Bremen. I believe they make some type of sound absorbing panels as well.

Lead plates on the inside of the enclosure... adds mass to the walls to lower resonance and sheilds electromagnetic feilds.
